Lottie was getting out of the bathroom after staying alone all day. Jamie left in the morning, saying that he had to take care of their leaving. She was brushing her hair when he walked into the bedroom.
-Jamie!
She hugged him thight and he laughed.
-I was out just for one day, baby...You missed me that much?
-Mhm...Where were you?
-I told you when I left but probably you don't remember since you were sleeping. I did the final security check for tommorow morning.
His phone started to ring. He picked her up and sat on the bed with her in his arms. He answered.
-Yes, Ellie?
-Ruben wants to know if Lottie will be in my car or in yours. That way he'll know where to put more security.
-Mhm...Alright, wait a second.
He looked at Lottie who was playing with Ms. Truffles in her lap.
-Tommorow are you going in Ellie's car?
-No. With you.
He nodded and she put her head on his chest. He smiled.
-She's coming with me.
-Ok.
He ended the call and said:
-You should go to sleep, baby. Tommorow we have to wake up early.
She nodded and laid in bed. He set the alarm and laid next to her.
-Goodnight, babe.
-Night, baby.
A few hours later his alarm went off. He got up and looked at Lottie who was sleeping peacefully. He rubbed her back.
-Baby?
She moved a bit and he chuckled.
-Lottie, you have to wake up.
-Mmm...No.
-If you wake up, I'll let you buy a coffee from Starbucks.
She opened her eyes and got up.
-Really?
-Yeah...
She kissed his cheek and entered in the bathroom.
He usually didn't let her drink coffee because he thought that it will affect her sleep. He started to drink coffee since he was 14 because taking care of Ellie meant a lot of energy.
She got out from the bathroom and checked her luggage.
-I think I packed everything.
After 1 hour they were ready.
Lottie got in the passanger seat and he started the car. The whole ride was silent, both of them lost in their own thoughts. When they reached the airport and got inside, Jamie said:
-Alright, princess. You want your coffee now, or when we land?
-I'll wait until we land.
He nodded and they got in the plane.
Ellie said:
-Raphael was very excited that you're coming back. Now he doesn't have to do his homeworks alone.
Jamie rolled his eyes playfully.
-So he really missed me, huh?
They laughed.
