"Get up child! You have school today and you can't miss another day of it just because you're tired so either you get out or I make you. SO GET UP!" Kira's mother shouted from downstairs while Kira, an 18 year old teenager, sat up and grabbed her earbuds and phone so when she went downstairs after getting ready, she wouldn't have to listen to her father and mother yelling at each other.
Kira put on the song "Girls" By Marina which was one of her favorite songs to listen to while she got ready for school because it put her in a good mood despite the horrid family she had to live with for 18 or so years. Kira threw on her favorite shirt which is just a white short sleeve with black star on the front with black cargo pants, black socks martens,a black hat with white glittering stars on it (Basically a Y2K style or a odetari style if that's what you want to call it)
After Kira finally got dressed, she made her way downstairs where she did see her parents arguing while her spoiled sister, Maria, a 16 year old, stood out to the side, drinking a Starbucks pink drink and eating a cake pop before school started due to her mother getting her it. Kira just scoffed while throwing on her backpack and walking out the house to make her way to the school because she knew damn well that her toxic parents and siblings wouldn't drive her there. Since it was 7:30 AM, she would have around 30 minutes to get to the school because she would be late.
Finally, when Kira got to school, she saw her friend Ella waiting for her at the entrance which surprised Kira because Ella never showed up early or on time, ever. Ella would always be late because "She woke up late" or "She had better things to do" before the school statement but she'd come at like 11:00 AM qka half way through the day. Since today was a Friday, on September 15th, 20##.
"Well you're here early, aren't you?" Kira said with a smile plastered on her face just so Ella didn't see the pain behind her eyes from earlier this morning.
"Yeah I know I am! I had to wake up at 6:30 AM and walk here from my house! It's like a whole mile! You're lucky your parents actually care enough to drive down here!" Ella said, agitated by the fact that she had to walk here.
"Haha..yeah, eight.. Wait what?! What did you mean by that?! My parents didn't.." Kira trailed off, now confused and a bit worried about how this situation started.
"WHAT!? I'm not lying! What are you talking about?! I'm the one who had to walk! Are you crazy or on something?! I'm not a liar! Ella, listen, I'd never lie to you and you know this! Why do you think I'm lying to you NOW!? AND WHY WOULD YOU BELIEVE MARIA, MY SISTER, AND NOT ME?! WE'VE BEEN FRIENDS FOR 9 YEARS ELLA" Kira yelled, upset
"YES! I do think you're lying because your sister personally told me!" Ella argued, just trying to look for an issue to fight about.
"W...what?! THAT'S A LIE" Kira stuttered. "YOU'RE THE ONE WHO IS LYING!"
"I'm not the one who is lying! You are! GOD! I HATE  YOU SO MUCH! I WISH I WASN'T FRIENDS WITH YOU!" Ella shouted, annoyed before she turned around and walked off into the school.
Kira stood there, dumbfounded about what Ella had just said and done. She was so confused and heartbroken that her BFF for 9 years would just straight up turn against her in such a short amount of time.
"S..She just...." Kira muttered to herself, still confused and a bit upset that this has randomly happened on such a bad day like this one. She started to tear up and sniffle, thinking if she was the problem since no one seemed to want to be her friend or have any affiliation with her at all. Not even her own parents and sister wanted Kira to be in their life. They acted like she was a ghost of her whole life. Like she was just invisible. But Ella did care, well, at one point she did.
Kira had to think about something and realize what happened between them and something clicked in her brain while her eyes widened and she started to cry silently.
It took her by surprise. The hatred in Ella's eyes. Kira has pushed this girl as far as she could go. But she lacked the words to let her know. Ella acted out now, Kira can see that it is "her fault."  She made changes to herself so Ella would want to be her friend for such a long time, but Ella still didn't like her no matter how hard Kira tried.
Everyone was looking at Kira now. Some people were giggling, some people were nervous while being concerned at the same time, and some didn't even care enough to look and ignored her fully while continuing on with her school day.
Kira just turned away from everyone while wiping away the remaining tears falling from her grayish brown eyes and walked into the school, dragging her backpack on the ground from sadness and a bit of shame even though none of this was her fault. Ella had always been stubborn about things but this whole situation was wrong and completely uncalled for.
Kira thought while walking to class.
Her sadness turned into rage and a bit of revenge seeking.
She wanted her ex-friend to be taught a lesson of politeness and a bit of respect toward her and others.
Once Kira walked into her class and just sat down, she ignored everyone and everything in the room while thinking about how much time she had wasted while being friends with Ella and it all seemed to be for nothing now. It seemed like all that time was just...Now gone. All the happy memories they shared, all the fairs and carnivals they went to, All the times they cried to each other for help and venting to each other, all the time they shared. Now means nothing to Kira and Ella. Their friendship after 9 years was finally done. Finished. No more of their story shall be written, but Kira had other plans for Ella. She was dead to her now. Ella means.. Nothing to Kira anymore. Ella is now nonexistent to Kira now but she couldn't help but feel upset and disappointed by this but it is what it is. Kira knows it.
She knows that karma will catch up to Ella soon and while it's happening? Kira will have a grimace on her face and laugh while watching what Ella gets for being such a backstabber.
"Such a waste of time and space. She wasn't even nice about it..She was rude and definitely wanted that conversation to end soon and not in the next 10 minutes.. I can't believe that I actually started being friends with her in the first place.. Now let's see what I can do to try and make this situation-" She thought to herself before..
RINGGGGGG
Kira immediately snapped out of her revenge thoughts when the bell rang and the remaining students hurried into the hallway to get what they needed for lunch and rec while Kira sat there with a grin on her face but after a few too long seconds, she stood up and walked into the hallway with the rest of the students, following them to rec before lunch started.
Once Kira got outside, she breathed in some fresh air from the cool spring and almost fall crispy air. It was a sigh of relief because she wasn't in that dredged school and in it with Ella of all people. Kira sighed and just walked around the campus, not knowing what to do so she just talked to herself and watched all the kids be chaotic and rude to each other such as shoving each other or swearing, even using the dredged N word which is completely uncalled for and absolutely rude and racist if you ask Kira.
Since Ella was her only friend and now that she abandoned her, Kira was now alone in the school without anyone else she knows except her spoiled and bratty sister that gets what she wants, when she wants. She is like a little 5 year old that will scream and throw a tantrum until she gets what she wants.
After a few hours school was finally over and Kira started to walk home on her own for once. She would always walk with Ella but since she backstabbed her, Kira would now have to walk on her own. She was honestly nervous and scared of who or what would probably follow her home but Kira didn't mind and just continued walking home until she arrived at her house where her parents' cars were missing. Even her dad's car was gone which was surprising because it seemed like he never used that old thing but Kira just shrugged it off and walked into the house and up to her room so she could put everything away.
Once she put her backpack and phone down, Kira went downstairs to get something to drink since she could do it freely without her parents yelling or fighting with her or eachother but it was weird because when she walked into the kitchen, she saw a strange note or invitation on the counter.
