Chapter 8-2: No Apologies (Zea)

Zea was still agitated and stressed out while sitting on one of the benches in the circus tent while Milenko sat next to her, he seemed hesitant at first but he just decided to speak.
"H..Hey Zea?" Milenko mutters.
He just was genuinely concerned and worried about her since she was his partner. He looked away so he doesn't have to talk to her at the moment since he doesn't know what to say that would comfort Zea.
"What. Milenko. What. Do. You. Want" Zea speaks, still stressed and agitated.
“You wanna talk about what happened?” Milenko said softly.
"Kate is just jealous, is all..trying to make..stupid..problems.." Zea says, sighing and leaning back against the bench.
Milenko pats and rubs her back “Yeah, yeah I know.. but sometimes it’s better to find a solution to the problems she makes. And if she doesn’t like it you can watch it all blow up in their face” Milenko said proudly but still softly..
Zea chuckles and pats his head, slightly smiling.
"Yeah..yeah.. I know hehe..she's just a pain to deal with sometimes.." Zea admits
“She can be a big pain, but at least you’re not around her as much as Barnard.” He said leaning more to the head pats.
"Fair enough. Your abit more.. tolerable than her.." Zea says, patting his head more. "I could honestly deal with you 24/7 then her. Cuter too, hehe-"
Milenko slightly blushes then he closes his eyes leaning fully into the head pats. Zea smiles at him and calms down a bit by this, still shaky and anxious but not as much.
"It's the truth-" Zea told Milenko with a slight smile on her face.
“Thank you for the compliment Zea” He said in a softer voice and he leaned on her while she continued to give him head pats.
Zea actually chuckled at him and continued to pet him, smiling widely  from seeing Milenko happy.
“Better now?” Mineko said to Zea, smiling softly.
Zea nods with a smile.
"Yeah..still a bit stressed but I'm good-" Zea chuckled.
“Well hopefully I change that..” He said slowly drifting to sleep. Zea nods and pats Milenko on the head again.
Milenko softly snores, finally sleeping and resting peacefully. Zea just leans back and lets Milenko sleep peacefully and not interrupting him by staying still and silent.
Zea got curious about his demon tail since she hadn't really seen or touched it so she moved her hand down his back and rubbed his tail against her hand and palm, surprised by the smoothness of the tail and it not being rough and leather like. (Like Zea thought it would be like since Milenko is one of the most powerful demons)
Milenko felt her touch despite him being asleep, his tail wrapped around her hand and arm until it finally rested on her arm. Zea turned a bit red and tried to pull her arm away which didn't work and it only made Milenko tighten his tail around her arm while grinning in his sleep.
He turned over to her and started leaning down. Zea's immediate reaction was to pull him closer patting his head when she finally pulled him to her.
Milenko just kept his demon tail around her arm while sleeping. He didn't even care that she was trying to pull her arm away from the tail. He was just grinning the whole time even though he was asleep.
