CW: a bit of spice at the end (from Eros creator ❤️✨)
Rain and Eros were walking together through the garden and back inside the ministry. They had decided that they would play a few card games in Rains' room for a while, as they were walking to the ghouls wing. As they traverse the corridor, something catches Eros' eye. Rain realizes where they are in the ministry, and notices something has gotten Eros' attention. Oh no. He attempts to lure Eros away quickly, trying to avoid that..."thing", but to no avail. Ultimately, his attempt was futile. Eros looks down the dark hall to his left and stares at something at the end, obscured by the shadows of a corner.
"What's that?" he asks Rain."Nothing of interest to you, let's go now" Rain laughs nervously and fidgets with the hem of his shirt.
"Hm...I don't believe you, you're acting kinda weird. "Eros begins to walk down the dark hall, and Rain slightly panics but he follows Eros, still trying to get him to come back.
"Eros come back! There's nothing down there." Eros ignores Rain and crouches next to whatever catches his eye; it's a cage bolted shut in a plethora of locks.
"...What in the world?"He reaches out, nudging the locks around to get a better view of what could be inside."Eros no!"Rain grabs Eros' hand away from the cage.
"Rain, what the hell?!"Eros pulls his hand away from Rains and moves the locks again. Rain looks away, giving up on stopping him. Eros looks inside the cage and sees a plushy that looks like... Papa? A very ugly-looking plush at that. Eros' eyes light up and a smile plasters on his face.
"Awwwww!"He glances up at Rain. "Why do you think he's in there" He inquires, snickering while doing so."Cause he's ugly and scary." Rain turns his body away from Eros' own."You're scared of a little toy?" Eros tries to refrain from laughing. He fails miserably.
"No! I just... don't like it very much— it makes me uneasy" Eros makes Rain turn around to face him "Can we get him out?" Eros looks up at Rain with those glossy pink eyes in a begging manner, Rain's face flushes and he looks away mumbling something and sighing "okay, but he's been in there for a while and most of the keys for those locks are missing" Eros frowns and grabs the cage in his arms holding it close to him. "Can we break it open? Are there any ghouls strong enough to help?" Rain thinks for a moment and looks back down at Eros.
"I might be able to with some help, Aether and Mountain are pretty strong, but Mountain is with Ozzie so I guess we'll go find Aether" He stands up and holds his hand out "Come on, let's go find him" Eros stands up with the cage in one arm and his other hand in Rains, he notices his face heat up a bit as the two hold hands, looking for Aether. "Rain, this is heavy , can you carry it for me?" Eros whines and Rain chuckles softly "fine, let me carry it then" Eros gives the cage to Rain and they continue walking around the ministry, they get to the practice room and find Aether restringing his guitar.
"Aeth, can you help us with something?" Aether doesn't look up "Yeah hold lemme do this real quick" he finishes his task and looks up at Rain and Eros "so what you guys need help with?" He spots the cage that holds Plushia in Rain's arms, he freezes, sneering at him "why do you have that?" Rain sighs and puts the cage down on the table and brings Eros to the couch, sitting him down, he looks back at Aether "I tried to stop him but I couldn't do it" he explains as he sits at the table in front of the cage, Aether sits across from Rain and looks at Eros "you really want to take him out?" He asks through small laughs, Eros nods quickly with a smile, Aether looks back at Rain who has a look of concern and a bit of fear in his eyes.
"Let's get it open then" Eros excitedly jumps up from the couch and immediately starts to bite the locks "Eros, hun, let's not do that, you'll hurt your teeth" Rain says as he gently pulls Eros' mouth away, Aether laughs and begins to pry the smaller locks open, leaving the bigger ones alone for now "You could help me you know Rain" Aether says with a grunt as he pulls another lock apart "But I don't want to, he scares me" Rain says, settling an excited Eros in a chair next to him "c'mon do it for him, you can't say no to that adorable face, besides...I know you like him" Aether laughs and Rains face turns red, immediately starting to pull locks apart from frustrated embarrassment "Yayy!" Eros flaps his hands, stimming.
