CHAPTER 9: ANNICA

Its been 3 days since we had that fight and he never returned my calls since then or reply to my messages. I know ive been rude to him and so insensitive but I was just upset that he dont understands my situation, of course Id love to go abroad and celebrate our anniversary but i just cant leave because I have so many things going on in my plate right now.

'I cant take it!' Padabog kung hilapag ang ballpen at napalingon sakin sila Monique.

'May problema ba?' Alani asked, nandito kami sa office namin.

'He's still not answering my calls' i blurtet out.

'Maybe he's busy' Monique replied.

'3 days? He's busy for 3 damn days?' I am so frustrated right now. 'Ill just go to his place, mababaliw lang ako sa kakacontact sa kanya.'

'Okay, kami na ni Monique ang bahala dito, we'll just give you a call if something came up.'

'Thanks Alani.. kayo na muna ang bahala dito' tumango lang sila at agad akong bumaba. Nang nasa kotse na ako, hindi ko naman alam kung saan ako didiretso, sa company niya o sa unit niya. I tried to call him again but he's still not answering it. 'Damn it Andrei!' I started the engine and just drove away.

I took my bag and went outside my car, kilala naman ako ng guard kaya siya nalang ang tinanong ko kesa naman umakyat pa ako at harapin ang bweset niyang sekretarya.

'Hi po' the guard politely greeted me.

'Ahh nakita mo bang pumasok si Andrei?' I asked.

'Hindi po maam eh'

'Ganun ba? Sige salamat.' Paalis na ako ng may pahabol pang sinabi ang guard.

'Ang alam ko po ay pumunta dun yung sekretarya ni Sir sa kanila, may pinapadala ata si sir maam' kumunot ang noo ko, sa unit niya mismo? Aba't!

'Sige salamat ulit.' Bakit ba kasi punong-puno ng malalanding sekretarya ang mundong to?

I slid inside my car.. i am so irritated right now. He was able to call her secretary but he cannot even answer my calls?

Papasok na ako ng makita kong kalalabas lang ng secretary niya sa elevator, ang sarap pa ng ngiti. Natigilan ito ng makita ako so I stopped walking too.

'What are you doing here?' I asked.

'You are not my boss so I dont need to answer you'

'I know but I am asking you a simple question so you fucking answer me' I hissed and she raised her eyebrow.

'Who the hell are you to dictate me-'

'I am the one who could just buy a share from my boyfriend's company so I could fire you whenever I want to so now, you answer me or you'll regret raising your eyebrow on me....' napalunok siya ng laway. 'You know I am capable of firing you'

'M-may inutos lang siyang files so I brought the files here' nauutal na sagot nito.

'There.. simple lang naman ang tanong ko diba? How pathetic that I need to scare you off just to get an even simplier answer.' Napatanga lang siya ng nilampasan ko siya.. kelangan pa talaga ng ganun para lang sumagot siya na maayos?

ANDREI'S POV

Napalingon ako ng bumukas ang pinto at iniluwa si Annica na halata sa mukha ang iritasyon.. she glanced at me bago siya tuluyang pumasok.

'I saw your secretary.. what is she doing here?' She asked out of annoyance.

'You saw her and you didnt bother to asked her? That's odd' I replied.

'Stop being sarcastic Andrei..'

'Come on Annica if you're here to argue with me then just go home.. im not in the mood for argument' masama pa ang pakiramdam ko kaya wala akong ganang patulan siya.

'You are not answering my call, damn it yet you have the strength to call your secretary? Just great!'

'I called my secretary to deliver me some files I left in my office.. and im too busy to argue with you, happy?' i said and went back to reading some documents.

'Busy? Too busy to even sent me a message telling me that I still have a boyfriend?' Nagsisimula na naman siyang magtaas ng boses. Ayokong makipagtalo sa kanya at mas lalong ayokong nagkakaganito kami but I am too offended when she said that our anniversary dont matter.. Im not being gay, Its just that I prepared a lot of things because im planning something.. and it means a lot to me.

'Answer me!' As much as possible, Id rather shut my mouth than argue with her.
'Ano ba, stop ignoring me as if im not here' she yelled and I continued ignoring her. 'Fuck you Andrei' there.. she said it, binitiwan ko ang document at humarap sa kanya but I remained seated.

'Fine? What do you want me to say? Do you want me to argue with you? What? Do you want me to say fuck you too Annica? Tell me okay, tell me what do you want me to say?'

'You could have just replied to my messages or return my calls, is it so hard to do? Is your pride getting in the way?'

'No.. but im just giving you all the time in the world to do what you have to do. You want to be busy with everything, then fine, now what are you so mad of? That im not texting you back? Why? Does it matter? That I am not returning your calls? What for?' Tumahimik siya saglit at napahilamos ako sa mukha ko. I stood up and went to my mini bar.. nagsalin ako ng alak sa baso at diretsong nilagok.

'Why are we fighting?' She muttered. 'Why are you like this?'

'Like what? Did I started this Annica?' I asked without looking at her.

'Did I?' Now this is pointless.. humarap ako sa kanya at nawala ang iritasyon ko ng makita siyang nagpahid ng luha. Oh shit! She bit her lip and stared down.. trying to avoid my gaze.

'Can we just drop this argument hon..' she whispered at tuluyan ng nawala ang iritasyon ko.. I walked towards her.

'Come here' I pulled her towards me.. 'i missed you' i whispered and she tightened her embrace, hinaplos ko ang buhok niya.. 'im sorry'

'No..' tumingala siya at sinalubong ang tingin ko. 'Im sorry, im sorry for being so insensitive.. for being so stubborn and all, I dont mean to say-'

'Shh... I know, I know' i cupped her face and her expression soften.

'No.. I should have not-' hindi ko na siya pinatapos at inangkin ko ang labi niya.. she responded immediately and cling her arms around my neck. I drawn her closer, we both groaned when the kiss went deeper.

'I miss you..' she muttered under our breath.

So this is the time that we kiss and make up.

I just lover her that no matter how hard the situation is, she'll always end up in my arms.
