A great big welcome to betrayal Island
Darkness.
That was all I could see. It surrounded me, engulfing everything in existence. I couldn't feel anything. This wasn't the first time I found myself in a strange environment but this one tops the rest. Wait...why do I think that? I can't remember anything yet I feel like this situation is...familiar. My mind felt blank and my memories were extremely hazy.
Who am I? Why can't I remember anything about myself? I attempted to recover those memories; it was like trying to put together a jigsaw with only half of the pieces. The more I focused the clearer things seem to become but the more confusing the whole situation appeared to me. Stuck in this impenetrable darkness, forgetting who I am, and the feeling that this isn't the first time being trapped. I dug further through my memories then like a sudden flash of light, it came to me, my identity.
My name is Ren Amami.
Last I remember I was exploring somewhere with someone important to me but I just can't recall their name right now. I'm also not what people call a 'normal student', by the ordinary standard and definition anyway. I'm actually one of those chosen few granted with the title of 'Ultimate'.
I felt my senses dragging themselves back to me, as slowly as a wounded animal. It came to my realisation I was laid front up against a cold, solid surface of some kind. Slowly opening my eyes I came face to face with another person gazing down at me, appearing relieved like they were in a panic previously.
"I'm so glad you're finally awake, I was worried you wasn't going to." The stranger leaned back away from me and exhaled a sigh of relief.
Obviously I was surprised by this sudden encounter as I shot up and swiftly shuffled away, instinctively distancing myself from this person. I don't know if this is the one who brought me here or not so I feel like I can't trust them. Who was this chick anyway?
The girl had royal purple hair and her crimson dip-dyed tips matched her equally red irises. Just below each of her eyes was a small mole or freckle. The coat she wore was purple also, but not as dark in shade as her hair. Her red shirt beneath was emblazoned with an unfamiliar symbol on the lower left side and her trousers were a shade of grey that was almost black. Covering her feet were a pair a small brown boots.
"I'm so sorry did I scare you?" She threw her hands up showing me she meant no harm. "I woke up here not too long before you so you and I are in the same boat here, okay? So please don't treat me like a threat."
She seemed nice enough; I guess I could trust her for now. I loosened my body a bit lowering my guard ever so slightly which seemed to do the trick as the girl looked happier now. "So what's your name, lady?" I decided it would be better to know her name at least.
"Me? I'm glad you asked." She jumped to her feet with a great deal of energy. "I'm Akio Momota, Luminary of the cosmos!" One hand was placed firmly on her hip as she pointed towards the ceiling with the other, a proud aura emanating from her. "But strictly speaking my title is the Ultimate Cosmologist." The previous energy seemed to have dissipated in a split second then she appeared have realised something. "Wait did you just call me a 'lady'?" she glared at me.
"Err yes..? Is that a problem?" I felt intimidated by her burning fiery eyed glare.
"Of course it's a problem! Do I look like a girl to you?! I'm clearly a boy!" Akio pointed at himself after raising his voice a bit.
"I'm so sorry Akio; it's just that you look so feminine for a boy!" I frantically waved my hands back and forth as I apologised in a panicked state. "I don't mean that in a bad way so please don't take it the wrong way!"
