| Jo adopts Madison after her parents let her down again.|

"Hey, ready for breakfast now?" Jo asked Madison as the 14 year old walked into the kitchen after getting dressed.

"I'm not sure if i can eat." Madison said nervously.
"Sit down honey." Jo instructed as she placed a plate of pancakes and bacon on the breakfast bar and motioned for her to sit down. Madison sat down and started playing with her food slightly.
"What's going on Dee-Dee?" Jo asked, sitting next to the girl.
"Nothing." Madison said just above a whisper.
"You can tell me anything Madison, so tell me what's going on." Jo said softly.
"What if the same thing happens again? What if my mom takes drugs and my dad is drunk and he hurts me again? What if i don't make it out that time? What if-" Madison starred to spiral.
"Woah Dee-Dee you're spiralling." Jo interrupted her. "They want you back okay? And your social worker wouldn't let you go back with them if that was going to happen." She said.
"One minor thing could cause them to relapse and i could be that minor thing." Madison said.
"You seriously need to stop overthinking everything." Jo chucked lightly. "None of that is going to happen, you've wanted to be back with your parents since you got brought into my care and now you're going back to them." She said.
"I'd much rather stay with you." Madison sighed.
"Me too baby but their you're parents and they want you back." Jo said as she gave the child a hug. "Eat your breakfast we're leaving in 10 minutes." Jo said. Madison started eating.
