As you lean against a nearby pillar, a casual run of your hand through your hair accompanies your recounting.

"I was practically kicked out of the med bay to get some fresh air. Just happened to wander around the base when I overheard the commotion here with the recruits," you explain, your eyes tracing the faint marks on the floor, souvenirs of the intense training session earlier.

"Thought I'd pop in, see what the fuss was about," you add nonchalantly, a playful shrug accentuates your statement. When your eyes meet Ghost's, they are dancing with a hint of mischief.

Amused, Ghost chuckles at your anecdote. The hint of amusement on his face pairs well with the casual nature of your tale.

"Well, you definitely came to the right place," Ghost acknowledges, a small smile curving on his lips as he gestures around the room. The sweat-stained floors and lingering essence of exertion spoke volumes of the rigorous training that took place.

"It was a good session," Ghost adds, his gaze wandering around the room, "but the recruits still need a little bit of work."

With a thoughtful hum, you cast your gaze around the room. The raw impressions of a hearty training session are apparent and the potential is palpable.

"They're rough around the edges, sure," you muse aloud, the room's silence lending a nice backdrop to your words, "but the potential is there. And having a good mentor can make all the difference."

Your eyes meet Ghost's with a pointed look as a subtle smile tugs at the corner of your mouth, a silent compliment wrapped within your words. Shifting your weight slightly, you tilt your head towards the exit.

"Feel like trading this sweaty room for some fresh air? How about joining me for a walk outside the base?" you invite, your eyes warm with the friendly offer.

Ghost's eyes linger on you as they follow your gaze around the room. His acknowledgment of the recruits' potential is brief but genuine. Your compliment catches him slightly off guard; it's as if compliments are a rarity in his world. You notice a hint of surprise in his eyes, followed by a slight hesitation as he processes your invitation.

The silent corridor seems to hold its breath in anticipation. "Sure, I'll join you for a walk," he eventually replies, his nod breaking the momentary silence between you two.

Together, you stroll towards the exit, the rhythmic echo of your steps a pleasant melody in the base's quiet corridors. The comfort in the silence between you is oddly serene, Ghost trailing a step behind. The dimly lit hallways soon surrender to the brighter ambiance of the entrance.

The presence of the guards posted outside straightens up a notch as you near the doors. Your friendly wave garners subtle nods from them as you step into the outdoors. The invigorating cold air is a pleasant contrast to the base's confined atmosphere. Each breath of fresh air is a small liberation.

Ghost seems to relish the freshness of the outdoors as well; you notice him take a deep breath, a sense of ease washing over his usually stern demeanor. The cool breeze carries away the residual stiffness between you, painting a serene picture as you both venture into the vast openness.

His glance meets yours, noticing the cheerful smile on your face. The change in scenery appears to have done wonders; the silence between you now is filled with a newfound ease. As you both stroll into the gentle embrace of the open air, the base slowly fading into the backdrop, you can't help but acknowledge the refreshing bond unfolding with each step forward.

The soft glow of the sun casts a delicate sheen over patches of melted snow, playing around the base's perimeter as you glance around. With a deep breath, you drink in the serene ambiance, where only the distant rustling of leaves contributes to the symphony of silence.
