You blink, taken aback by his boldness, yet manage to maintain your composure. "Thank you. I've trained for a long time to ensure our soldiers receive the best care," you reply, keeping your tone neutral. However, he takes a step closer, that glint still evident in his eyes.

"And it's not just your hands. You're... really beautiful. It's hard not to notice," he continues. You immediately feel a wave of discomfort wash over you; the fine line between professional and personal has been blurred.

"I appreciate the compliment, but I am here to provide medical care, not to engage in personal discussions," you reply, with a firm yet polite tone.

His grin remains intact, seemingly undeterred by your stern response. "Can't blame a guy for trying, right? Besides, a beautiful medic and a soldier? Sounds like the start of a classic love story."

Your patience begins to wane as you straighten up, meeting his gaze with a steely stare. "Listen," you say loudly, making sure an edge of authority carries through your voice, "this is a medical facility, not a social club. Your assistance in the training room was appreciated, but you're not needed here anymore. I suggest you leave."

He seems to relish this attempt at gaining your attention and his grin remains as he responds, "Come on, it's just a bit of fun. A beautiful medic like you must get lonely in here. Maybe you need someone like me to liven things up?"

Your patience has worn paper thin, and the weight of the past weeks' events merely fuels your already fraying temper. "I've told you, this is not the place for your games," you retort, your voice icy.

Yet, he inches closer, seemingly misinterpreting your irritation for interest. "You know, maybe we could—"

Before he can finish his statement, your frustration peaks and you find yourself reacting instinctively. Using a burst of strength, you give him a forceful shove, propelling both of you through the doors of the med bay. He stumbles out, a look of surprise and indignation replacing his smug grin.

"Stay out," you warn loudly, your eyes hard. The doors close with a definitive thud behind you both as you square your shoulders at him, ready to ward off any further advances.

Unbeknownst to you, down the hallway, Ghost had been heading in your direction, likely catching the tail end of this unwarranted interaction. As he rounds the corner, missing the main bulk of the altercation, he approaches with a steady pace, his eyes fixed on you.

"What's going on here?" he inquires, his tone weaving a blend of concern and curiosity.

You jump slightly at the sudden appearance of Ghost, your pulse still elevated from the previous interaction. Your surprise is evident as you quickly attempt to compose yourself, your hands instinctively smoothing down your uniform.

"Seems some of the recruits could use a refresher on professionalism and boundaries," you reply, shooting a pointed glance in the direction of the retreating recruit. Your voice carries a note of irritation, but there's also a hint of relief in Ghost's presence.

Ghost's eyes remain fixed on you as he steps closer. An unspoken question of concern and curiosity hangs between the two of you. He takes in your movements, body language, and facial expressions as he tries to gauge the situation. Your heart still races from the recruit's pushy behavior as Ghost stands before you.

You quickly try to compose yourself, the lingering unease making your hands tremble slightly. You look pointedly at the door through which the recruit had exited, trying to shake off the discomfort from the interaction.

Ghost notes your gestures and the tremor in your hands, seeming to sense the lingering unease. The distance between the med bay door and where you stand feels like an abyss, filled with discomfort from the recent confrontation. Ghost remains close by, his presence a semblance of reassurance, yet the silence that hangs between you both is filled with unspoken questions.
