IT WAS CLEAR! The pregnancy test came out negative! My heart jumped with delight. I must have just been queasy. My dumb ass always thinks negatively. As I thought to myself, my younger sister knocked on the door.

"Hurry up, I got to use the bathroom," she shouted.

"Hold on a minute, god damn it," I muttered as I quickly threw away everything, and washed my hands. I unlocked the door to see my youngest sister's hand covered in paint. "BRUH! What were you doing? What is this mess?"

"I was painting obviously, for a project," she rolled her eyes.

"Well, you don't necessarily have to be so rude," I replied to her attitude.

"Broski, leave me alone," she stomped off to the sink.

"Alright, whatever," I walked to my room, feeling a sigh of relief and the burden off my shoulders.

I picked up my phone from my bedside table and continued to text Carlos.

ME: Carlos, how are you?

CARLOS: Doing pretty good and you?

ME: Was about to get the shock of my life, but I didn't. Thank god.

CARLOS: What? Why? You should know the shock of your life now, while you're young and able to take it. When you become old, you'll only have a heart attack, lols.

ME: Haha so funny, shut up before I give you an ELECTRICAL shock.

Carlos: NAH, I'm not ready for that, now.

ME: Well, I kind of have a shock to give, tho.

Carlos: Okay, spill, try not to give me a heart attack tho.

ME: Okay, um...

Carlos: ??? Bruh what is it? SAY IT.

ME: I kind of like you.

Carlos: OH.

Me: What? What was that OH?

Carlos: It was unexpected is all...

ME: What kind of a dumb reaction was that bruh?

Carlos: Idk, it was amusement and surprise.

ME: What exactly are you amused about?

Carlos: Maybe later, babe.

~ Carlos left the chat ~

ME: How tf can you leave after fucking calling me babe? What is this dumb shit?

Feeling disappointed and annoyed, I threw my phone underneath the pillow and punched my pillow a few times playfully before slipping into my bed. With a goofy smile on my face, I drifted fast asleep.

                                                                                          * * * * * * * *

My alarm set off at 6:30 in the morning. I grumbled and stomped towards the alarm and hit "snooze". Ten minutes later, Ari ran into my room, threatening to spill water on me. Well this brings back memories, I thought.

"OKAY, shut up. I got the memo already," I yelled back at her.

"SUNNY!" I heard my dad yell in the stairs, coming up. I jumped out of bed and ran to the bathroom before I had to hear another lecture about being quiet in the morning as to not "disturb" anyone.

"Where'd she go?" my dad asked Ari.

"Don't worry, she got the memo especially after hearing you yell," Ari laughed.
