After that situation last night, you left for Edd's house until the cops checked around your apartment. You wake up in the morning to see Edd frantically looking around the house.
"Edd..? What are you doing..?" You ask tiredly as Edd looks under the couch. "It's Ringo, I can't find her!" He says as he looks up at you. You sit up a bit. "Oh.. that's not good." You say, waking up slightly.
"No, no it's not!" He cries out as he continues searching. You help him look, but you never find her. Edd prints off some "Have you seen me?" posters and you help him hang them up around town. All you can do now is wait.
You sit on the couch with Edd until lunch. When noon hits, Edd stands up and walks to the front door. "Where are you going?" You ask. "I'm going to look for Ringo again." He says.
You sigh and stand up as well, there's no point in trying to get him to stay, so you might as well help look for her. The two of you walk outside for a few hours, looking for Ringo. Again, you never find her. Edd is devastated, you can see tears forming in his eyes.
"Oh Edd, she'll be turn up.." You say as you hold your arms out for a hug. Edd looks at you and hugs you tightly. "I've had this cat since forever, y/n." He says as he holds back tears. You frown and rub his back. "I know, it's okay, we'll find her, okay?" You say. Edd nods slightly as he walks inside the house.
It's now just a waiting game. Just waiting for somebody to call, or Ringo to show up out of her hiding spot. For what seems like hours, there's nothing. Soon, there is a ring from Edds phone. Edd'd head perks up and he quickly answers.
"Hello?" He says. You hear a few words, but can't make out what the lady on the other end is saying. "Okay, yes, thank you, I'll be there right away!" Edd says as he stands up and puts his shoes on. You do the same and follow him out the door.
In the car, Edd tells you what happened. Ringo had been outside and a little girl and her mother saw her. They thought she was a stray so they took her home, but once the mom saw the posters she told her daughter they had to return the cat.
Once you arrive, Edd knocks. A woman opens the door, she's looks to be around our agd, if not a bit older. She invites us in. We walk in and wait patiently. The lady looks towards the hall before calling for her daughter. "Sweetheart, bring the cat please." She says.
Just then, a little girl walks down the hall holding Ringo. She looks fairly young, maybe 5, although she's definitely no older than 7. She frowns as she walks over to Edd and holds Ringo out to him.
Edd cheerfully and carefully takes Ringo and holds her. "Thank you so much, I've been looking for her all day." He says. The lady nods. The little girl looks at her mother. "Mommy, can we please get a kitty!" She pleads. Her mother sighs. "I'll think about it, okay?"
When she says that, the girl lightens up and jumps around. The lady says her name is Niya and her daughter's name is Vienna.
"You can visit anytime!" Niya says as we leave. Vienna peaks out the door as we pull out the driveway. "Bye bye Ms. Kitty!" She says with a smile.
You make it home and Edd takes Ringo inside. You follow him, smiling as he talks to Ringo. He gives her a few treats and pets her as he watches TV.
You lay back down on the couch and yawn. You close your eyes, you're finally able to sleep again.
