You're pacing around the living room when an emergency broadcast appears on the TV. You stop and sit down on the couch. You watch anxiously as the news reporter begins speaking.
"Just in, the wanted criminal, 'Red Leader', attacks a local landmark. Police are still on a search to find his hideout." The reporter says. A photo of the Red Leader appears on the screen and your face goes pale.
It was Tord. What the actual hell? Edd and Tom had been watching from different areas of the room, though they didn't seem very shocked. "What the fuck. What's wrong with him? Was driving me off a bridge not enough for him." You say in a fit of rage.
Edd looks at Tom and Tom looks back at Edd. They're both thinking of what to say. Edd looks back at you and walks over. You look at him, visibly angry. Or hurt? You didn't know.
"Listen, Y/n.. Tord.. he does things none of us understand, we just have to accept the fact that he's.. well.. Hes-" Edd gets cut off by Tom.
"Clinically insane? Delusional? Crazy?" Tom says. "Well.. I wouldn't say all that-" Edd says. Tom rolls his eyes. "You wouldn't, but you wanted to." He says. Edd nods a bit.
"Y/n, I know you're angry right now but let's talk about it. We can sit down over dinner and talk about it, okay?" Edd says. You sigh and nod. "Yeah, yeah you're right.. Okay.." you sigh. You stand up and hug Edd.
The two of you talk over dinner. You're getting ready to go to bed when Niya calls you. You answer. "Hey!" she says. "Hey Niya, what's up?" You ask.
"I got two coupons to a spa, do you want to go with me tomorrow?" she asks. You paused and think to yourself. Maybe a spa day is what you need. "Yeah, sure!" you say.
"Okay, I'll pick you up after I drop Vienna off at her dad's! Does 10 sound good?" she asks. "Yeah, that sounds great!" you say. "Alright, see you then!" she replies. She hangs up and you lay down for bed.
You soon fall asleep. You wake up around 8 and get ready. You eat breakfast and wait for Niya to call you or knock. After 30 or so minutes, you get a call from Niya saying she's here. After saying goodbye to Edd, Tom, and Matt, you walk outside and go to Niyas car.
You get into the passenger side and look at Niya. "Hey Y/n! Are you ready to go?" Niya asks. You nod and put your seatbelt on as she pulls out of the driveway.
They two of you pull up to the spa after a few minutes of driving. You get out of the car and check in to the receptionist with Niya. The two of you relax in a hot tub as you chat.
"Did you see the Red Leader dude on the news yesterday?" She asks. You nod slightly. "Yeah, yeah I did." you say. "He seems like an ass." she says.
"Yeah.. he is." you say. You freeze up slightly. "Was, i mean- does-" you stamber out. Niya looks at you confused. "What, you're talking like you know him." she says as she giggles. You look away slightly.
"What- you dont- you don't actually know him, do you?" she asks jokingly. "Well uh, it's a long story.." you say.
"We've got all day, Y/N." she says with a smile. You nod slightly. "Still.. I'll shorten it.." you say. "..my ex-husband.. He's my ex-husband.."
"What? You mean the one that DROVE YOU OFF A BRIDGE?!" she shouts. "Yes, yes him. Quiet down." you say. She sighs and nods. "Why? Did you know about him?" she asks. You shake your head. "No, he never told me what he worked as.." you say.
"Uh-huh.. and you DIDN'T notice the red flags?" she asks. You look away slightly. "..Really? Y/N-!" she says.
The two of you continue chatting for the next few hours.
"Sooo.. you and Edd?" she asks. Your face goes red. "Well.. I- Uh- we're just friends..!" you stamber out. "Mhm.. mhm.. yeah, that's what they all say." she says. "Okay.." you sigh
"Okay, maybe, just maybe, I like Edd a little bit, but he doesn't like me like that, so there's no point in me taking about it-!" you say.
"Are... Are you actually serious? Y/N, have you SEEN how he looks at you?" she says as she laughs. "huh..-? What do you mean?" you ask.
Niya laughs and looks away. "I'll leave that for you to find out on your own, Y/N." she says.
The two of you chat some more before deciding it's time to leave. Niya drops you off at the house and then leaves to pick Vienna up from her dads.
You walk in and look at Edd. "Hey Edd, how was your day?" you ask. He looks at you and smiles. "It was good, how was the spa with Niya?" he asks. "It was great, we got dinner on the way back so I'm probably going to take a shower and head to bed." you say.
Edd nods and you walk to the bathroom. You start you shower and undress whole the water heats up. You step in the shower and begin washing your hair as you think about what Niya said.
'Does.. does he like me?' you think to yourself.
'Pshhh, no-'
