"Y/n, you good?" Kai, my best friend asks.

"What. I zoned out." I reply and he smirks.

"Oh my god. Again?" He smirks and I shove his shoulder a bit.

"Shut up. I was thinking." I say.

"You can do that?" He replies.

"Yes, I can." I grumbled.

"Ok well, what were you thinking about," Kai says seriously. "And don't say nothing."

"How I need new friends." I joke.

"Oh please, I'm the best. But stop joking, something is going on with you and I want to help." He says.

"Nothing."

"I just said don't say that." Kai deadpans.

"I can deal with it by myself." You respond.

"Doesn't mean you have to." He says and puts his hand on my arm as the bell rings and we start the walk to his house.

"Please drop it," I complain.

"Fine fine. Only cause I love you." He says.

"Love you too nerd."

I was gone from Kai's and back at the apartment my earlier thoughts eating at me.

Nobody cares. Peter is a better person. He's smarter and more athletic than you could ever dream of being. You're so lazy. Peters out there helping people and you are sitting on your ass doing nothing. You were just the extra kid no one wanted.

I figured out last month that Peter was Spider-Man. It wasn't that hard when I went into his room one night after hearing him sneak back in and saw him on the ceiling. He made me pinky-promise not to tell May and so I swore and went back to my room.

Peter and I were always close. I guess having your parents die and having to live with your aunt and uncle kinda did that to you. Even when Peter switched to his smarty pants school we still stayed close. But now Peter is always hanging out with his friends or with the avengers and I know I might seem selfish but I want to hang out with him too. He's my brother.

"Y/n." May says coming in my room.

"Yeah?" I reply. May has always been so sweet to me. Sweeter then I deserve.

"I'm about to go to work. Tell Peter I won't be back till tomorrow. There are some leftovers in the fridge for you to heat up if you want." She smiles.

"Got it. Love you May." I say.

"Love you too." She says coming and kissing my head and gives me a hug before heading out.

"Do you know when aunt may gets out of work?" He questions.
