A week pass and i find myself loving this place and people. I make my way to my classroom and the corridors are filled with decorations for the upcoming game. And I know everyone is excited about this game cause that's what I've been hearing wherever I go.
It's time for lunch and I meet Lyla and Raven. The amount of classes we share is very little. So the only time we spend together is the lunch hour. I sit with them and I hear them talk about the game too. "finally the game I've been waiting for" Raven says with excitement filling her eyes.
"What's so special about this game," I ask as I open my bottle. For straight three seconds I don't get any response and because of that, I look up to see them staring at me with disbelief in their eyes. "What," I ask slightly disturbed. " We need to fill this gurl up, " Raven says looking at Lyla.
"OK hear listen" Lyla looks at me as if she wants me to pay serious attention.
" This year's soccer match is different from the last matches we played in eight months. You know Auden right? He is a soccer player not just any player, the best. With him on the team, the victory was always ours every single time. He was our soccer team captain too. And we were the undefeatable team. But in this one match, Auden got into a fight with the other team and it ended in a bloodshed and broken bones. They were the ones who started the fight but they banned Auden's sportsmanship for a year. And because of that he had to give his captainship to his best friend Max, and he had to leave the team too. He believed Max could bring the wins like he didm but he was wrong we lost the first match Auden was absent and from there, it was more loss than wins." Lyla ends with a sad sigh
"But guess what Auden's ban expired the day before yesterday and he will be there in the upcoming match. This was the day I was waiting for" Raven says with a thrill. "i cant wait to kick Springfields ass" Raven squeals.
Wow, he is quite a legend in this school, who knew? "And Hazel there is this party tonight and you can come with us, okay" Lyla says to me.
"Party? I don't think it's my thing and more than that I don't have anything to wear," I say to Lyla
"Dude Wellsburry parties are a thing .You should come to this one," Raven says with that dramatic voice of hers.
"Hazel, Raven will pick you up from your apartment. So see you guys at my house at 6. Gotta go running late on a project" Lyla says as she heads out of the cafeteria.
"Don't worry she gets a bit too excited for parties, after all, that's Lyla, and by the way don't worry about the dress Lyla will have all ready for you" Raven says winking her eyes.
As I'm heading towards my locker I see Josh with his friends as he sees me he comes to me " You are coming to the party, right" he asks me.To be frank i wasnt sure but now i want to go for some reason . "ya I'll be there." I say to him.
