Chapter 21

You and Yoongi sit across from your father still, taking in everything that he has said so far. 

"Father? Is this the uprising that we heard about?" 

"Yes. Duri will seek war on the humans and vampires here. Duri thinks you are his child. He thinks your mother ran to hide you from him."

"He thinks you are keeping me from him?" 

"Your mother went back and Jungkook's father had the witches shield your scent. This whole time he thought you died in your mother's womb. He thought Yoongi's family all died in the war that his family started years ago."

"Then why is he coming for us, if he thinks we are dead?" 

"You confirmed my suspicions when you told me your mother came to you. Duri knows you are alive. Whether he knows you're not his yet, that I don't know. He needs your power to stay in power, same with Yoongi's."

"What about mom?" 

"She is strong. I am sure she is ok. If Duri comes for you and succeeds. I need you to go along with it, pretend to be his biological kid and his nephew. It may be the only way to spare your lives. If she comes to you again, listen to her and tell me immediately."

You nod. "Father, does Duri have anything to do with why we were asleep longer than we should have been?" 

"I have a strong feeling he did. When you are under you are vulnerable. If he knows you are alive he might have broken the barrier spell on your room and tried to access your powers then."

"If he knows where we are and needs my powers and Yoongi's, then why hasn't he come for us himself?" 

"I don't know. But from here on out, you both must stick together and watch each other's back. Assume he is coming and always be ready." 

"Understood sir." 

"Ok dad."

"Take the books. It is time you both learned the full history of your families and your powers. Everything you need to know is in them. Including the history of Duri's family."

You both take the books and nod.

Your father stands and kisses your forehead before leaving. 

You look at Yoongi and sigh. 

He does the same. "We should probably tell the others." You nod. "Take a minute first, Y/n. Then we'll head back." Yoongi starts to walk outside. 

"How are you ok?" 

"I'm not, but I will be." He walks outside and you slump back in the chair. 

All the information is flooding you. 

Running through your head over and over again. 

You look at the books on the table before taking a deep breath and grabbing them. You walk out the door and look at Yoongi.

He stands up from the chair on the porch. "Ready?" 

You nod then follow him back to the dorms.

When you return, Seokjin and Hoseok are already waiting for you. 

Shortly after the other boys join you four in your room. 

The two of you tell all of them everything.

"So the attacks are only going to get worse?" 

You both nod. 

"Then I want to transform." 

"Me too." 

You shake your head. "Jin, J-Hope, you are both still humans. Your genes not activated. You can live a normal life. Don't give up your chance for us."
