HALF-BLOOD (Jeon Jungkook x Reader)

Chapter 4

After lunch you are walking in the halls alone. It's your free period so you are on patrol. 

You see Jungkook strolling around and roll your eyes. "You should be in class." 

Jungkook looks at you. "And you should mind your own business."

You scoff. "It's my job to make sure kids like you are in class." 

Jungkook leans against the wall. "Kids like me? It's my free period, I don't have to be anywhere important. I'm not hurting anyone. I'd say that means I can do whatever I want."

"If that's what you think. Go to your classroom or the library. Wait you probably don't know what a library even is. Go to the computer room." 

Jungkook balls his fist and moves closer to you but stops when you stick your arm up as usual. "You really know how to get under my skin." 

You chuckle. "The last thing I'd want to do is even touch your skin. Gross." 

Jungkook's eyes turn red but you don't flinch. "You know what I think about you?" 

You shake your head. "I don't really care airhead."

Jungkook grabs your arm. "I think you're a lonely, pathetic girl. You think you're so privilege because you're human and don't have to hide from the world. You only care about yourself and deflect your feelings off on everyone else. You're a hypocrite and a fake."

You start to grow angry as well. Your eyes swell with tears but your sunglasses cover it. "YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT ME!" 

Jungkook scoffs. "I see right through you. You aren't so high and mighty. Like I said you're just pathetic, a daddy's girl."

You rip your arm from his grip. "YOU ARE THE ONE WHOSE PATHETIC! DON'T JUDGE ME LIKE THAT WITHOUT GETTING TO KNOW ME FIRST! YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT ME AND WHAT LIFE IS LIKE FOR ME EITHER! YOU'RE THE PHONY HERE!"

With that you take off running down the hall, passing Yoongi. 

Yoongi looks at you then Jungkook who's standing there speechless. Yoongi runs to Jungkook and slams him against the wall. Yoongi stares into Jungkook's eyes, that have returned to normal color.

Jungkook looks back at Yoongi. "I-I Di-!" 

"SHUT UP! What did you do to her?" 

Jungkook shakes his head and explains what happened. "I didn't mean to be so harsh, she just got under my skin and I lost control."

Yoongi tightens his jaw. "You know nothing about her and what she's been through." Yoongi points in the direction you ran. "That girl almost died because of a vampire. He betrayed her and because of that she's had to suffer."

Jungkook's eyes drop. "I didn't know." 

Yoongi shakes his head. "Right, cause you didn't bother to think. You know why she treats you the way she does?" 

Jungkook looks back into Yoongi's eyes and shakes his head.

Yoongi lets him go. "Because you treat her the same and sometimes worse. Ever since we ran into you in the mall a few months ago, you two have held this grudge. She saw you and was going to ignore you. She saw you yell at those kids and it set her off."

Jungkook sighs. "I yelled at them for a good reason." 

"We know. They weren't being respectful to others in the mall. But instead of explaining that to her when she stepped in, you treated her like dirt. That's why she holds so much hate for you, not because you're a vamp."
