When the Cheeto got to his bedroom, he sat down at his desk and pulled out a notebook. He flipped it to an empty page and began to list the names of all the friends that he could think of—Chad has a lot of friends. Once he was finished, he put down his pencil and stared at his work. There was clearly no way he could bring all his friends with him.

Whom shall I eliminate from this list? Chad asked himself. Instantaneously, quite a few names came to mind. He swiftly crossed them off the list.

He looked back upon his revised list and returned to thinking. After a bit of pondering, he found more fellow Cheetos to eliminate. This process continued until he narrowed the list down to five candidates: Mozzarella, Mahogany, Jalapeño and Bob. These names were no surprise to the spicy cheese puff. He had known all of them for as long as he could remember. Plus, Mahogany was his girlfriend.

The very next day, Chad went to the park where he and his best friends would meet whenever they could. However, when he arrived, only Jalapeño and Mahogany were there. Both of them looked rough, like they had gotten into a fight.

"What happened to you two?" interrogated a startled Chad.

Jalapeño was the first to respond, "We got bullied by some leaves on the way here. Mozzie and Bob decided to go back home when those menaces went after them."

Chad seethed with fiery fury, How dare they hurt my friends like this; they must face the consequences of their actions!

"I really wish these leaves would leave us alone. We never did anything to them." muttered Mahogany.

"Well, I was about to ask all of you if you'd want to come with me on a quest." Chad stated, changing the subject.

"What quest?!" Mahogany and Jalapeño exclaimed simultaneously.

"My mother told me that if we can find the almighty Goldfish, he'll get rid of the leaves for us. He can even get rid of Minister Richard Ruffles II too." answered Chad.

"But, it'll be impossible to get to him," added Jalapeño skeptically, "he lives on a fencepost that's as tall as a mountain and there's all sorts of dangerous things you have to get past to even get there."

Mahogany had a more positive outlook on the subject than her friend, "Don't be such a debbie-downer." she told Jalapeño, "If we do indeed find the Goldfish, the leaves will never bother us again! Right, Chad?"

Chad was about to respond, but Jalapeño spoke first.

"You two are absolute bonkers if you think you're going to go on this journey and that I'll come with you. There's a good reason why no one has gone to find him earlier; it's simply too dangerous!" protested the Cheddar Jalapeño Cheeto.

Looks like it's just me and Mahogany now, Chad realized.

"Alright then, stay here if you like, but Mahogany and I are still going, no matter how crazy you think we are." said Chad.

Jalapeño just stared at his friends, clearly judging them silently.

Without another word, Chad and Mahogany set out.
