"Harry?"

What was going on?

From the back the figure in front of me was a dead ringer for my lost boyfriend. But he was just that wasn't he? Lost. As I tried to make ends meet the figure noticed my presence, he began turning slowly to face me, Paul and Detective Ramsay watched me with cautious eyes.

I froze on the spot. I could feel my heart race increase as my temperature rose to an uncomfortable level. My breathing shallowed as I finally met the eyes of the Harry doppelganger.

They were a deep blue and wary as they stared back into mine. He took one measured step towards me, and then another. Slowly he crossed the room, as he began his last step in my direction I stepped back. I needed space to clear my mind, so many things weren't connecting, and I was confused. My hands reached behind me as my back became flush with the wall. Great, now I had no escape.

The boy stopped his pursuit and watched me, clearly reading the panic etched in all my features, I wanted to make a run for it so bad, but my only exit was now blocked by Paul. I returned my gaze back to the deep blue eyes which had taken my moments distraction to close the gap between us. He held out his hand for me to shake, his lips curling at the corners into a half-hearted grin. Not the lopsided smile I was so used to.

"Hi. I'm Alec." He said. His voice caught me off guard, it was deep and clearly southern.

"Paul?" I said, my voice wavered. I refused to remove my locked gaze from Alecs, but I hoped the alarm in my voice would summon an explanation from Paul.

Yet it wasn't Paul who spoke next. It was Detective Ramsay. "Carly meet Alec, Alec meet Carly."

"Is this a joke?!" I couldn't keep the anger out of my voice, he was taking this so lightly. Did he not realize the pain the mere memory of Harrys perfect face put me in? Now he had locked me in a room, with no explanation as to why an exact replica of my boyfriend was standing in front of me. And he had the nerve to make a joke about it.

He held his hands up in defense at my outburst.

"Carly, Alec was hired by Modest Management," this time Paul spoke. "Harry has been missing for quite sometime now. The public is beginning to realize something is not right, we've tried to cover up his disappearance for as long as we can but sooner or later questions will be asked."

"And so what if they're asked?" I replied, I was trying to keep my temper under control. "Maybe having the public in the know would be a good thing. More people looking for him, more eyes searching-"

"We've thought of that, yes. But in cases like this public knowledge is not always the best answer." My eyes darted to Detective Ramsay as he spoke. "We don't know what these people want, it could put Harry's life further at risk if we get the public involved. If acheiving whatever these people want gets to hard for them, they wouldn't bat an eye at ditching his body in a dumpster on the outskirts of town."

My mouth dropped at his bluntness. How rude could you be? My hands clenched into fists and tears burned behind my eyes.

"You can't just throw this guy," my hand flew in the direction of Alec "into the worlds biggest boyband! It won't take a rocket scientist to figure out it's not him!"

"Clearly from the front people will know it's not Harry, but from the back-"

"Then why am I here?" I said through clenched teeth. I was starting to feel ill and the room was beginning to spin.

"Well, we need you to take a few pictures with Alec. We take you two out on town, make you clearly visable and people will automatically assume it's Harry with you. We leak the photos on the internet, and boom! No, more questions for the time being."

"No. No, no, no, no. This isn't right. I will not-" I began.

"Carly," Paul sighed, "I'm about as happy as you are with this, but it's for the best in the long run. Do it for Harry."

                                                                                * * * * *

I hugged my pillow closer, do it for Harry, Pauls voice rang through my head.

I finally was let out of the room only after I agreed to help cover up Harry's disappearance. I had spent the rest of the day fighting with myself, and feeling disgusted with my decision. Something didn't sit right with the fact that we were pretending everything was fine, when clearly it was not.

I sighed and rolled over.

Tomorrow was my big "date" with Alec. I squeezed my eyes closed, trying to block out the thoughts swirling in my head.

Harry, where are you? I thought as a tear rolled down my cheek.

**** So what do you guys think about Alec? Are they making the right decesion? I hope to update again by the weekend! VOTE AND COMMENT please!! xx ****
