William's POV

There's no such thing as coincidence. I let my ex fiancé sit here in this room, telling her everything that happened 10 years ago. Little did I know, she hides things from me too.

"How come you never told me about meeting David when you were in the university?" I asked as she recalls how she met David the first time.

"It was abrupt. We were dealing with so many things that time and I didn't have the heart to ask you whatever you did 10 years ago. I don't think you will even tell me that time." She says. She is right. I will never tell her that I killed people and I used drugs. I will never tell her the ugliest parts of me just when I decided to change for good.

For all I know, my parents created big connections to be able to get David away from the country. This I never realized that the big connection they got were Allyson's parents. This maybe is the reason why his brother Archie hated me form the very first time we met. Who knows? Maybe they knew that I was the one who paid the truck driver to hit and run the two Walker siblings. Fate plays so much wicked in this part. I never knew how connected Max and David even. All along, I thought I knew David but no, he even wants to kill his own brother, trying to use me again as a pawn. I will never do anything for him anymore, no matter how much I hate the guts of this Max, I know that Allyson loves him and I don't think I can kill him off Ally's life.

I stared at my friend, Chuck, who is now suffering from multiple GSWs. I cannot blame anyone but myself. He tried to help me investigate about it and now, he is lying in this bed supported by a freaking machine.

"What are we going to do, William?" Allyson drifts me back to reality. We are now in this whirlwind, where I need to decided whether I let her new boyfriend die or I will let myself die.

"Go back to Max. He doesn't need to know that his brother is trying to kill him."

"I still can't believe that Eloy is David." She looks tough but I know she is hell scared.

"That son of a bitch is a murderer. No wonder his family kicked him out." I cursed.

"I will try my best to fix this. You don't have to be in the middle of anything. You're here because of me, if it's not because of David, I would've not paid someone to crash on your motorcycle, killing your brother at the end." I say.

She shakes her head, "You don't have to blame everything on yourself. David wants everything in his hands, we cannot stop someone with a mind like that. He is fucked up."

She looks really terrified of the things we have spoken about. I know this is not her first rodeo but I don't think she even know how serious David is when he said he will kill Max.

She collects herself, and walks towards the door, "Don't even try to be the hero here, William. I know you. I don't want you hurting anyone nor yourself. I am begging you this time."

Kill Max or have myself be killed? Of course, easy way out.

I shake my head, "I will make sure that I will be 10 steps ahead of David."

She bids me goodbye as if nothing happened.

I dialed my cousin, Brian Thompson, if there's someone who knows how to deal with mafias, he better be the one.

"Hey William."

"Hey bro, is this the right time to have a conversation with you?"

"What is?"

"I need your help."

"You sound serious, Will."
