Present Day...

I woke up in the middle of the night gasping for air but this time, it's not because I was dreaming of my late brother, Albert, but it's because I kept on searching for Will beside me and every time that I touch his pillow and feeling his side of the bed is empty, my body is turning the longing into fear.

It's been a week since he decided to stay at his parents' and I have visited only twice. During my first visit, he was in the mood for trying to remember things; we played flash cards, I tried to show him pictures from our first out of town, first date, first apartment and other stuff. He was convinced for a moment that the life he was living before is the right life he's trying to paint back into his memories.

The second visit however was by far the worse, because he was back to the William Thompson whom I never met. He was aggressive and a bit uptight. He was the perfect example of the William that his entire family had hated for years. I never met that side of his life because I met him when he was already trying to fix himself and trying to prove everyone that he is capable of change. I'm not entirely sure how I will deal with him right now because all he knows to talk about were his old poker friends and the ones who caused him a year in the rehab.

I'm planning to visit again later in the morning, but this time, I will bring him to places we've been before; places he introduced me before when we first dated.

As I calm myself to sleep, my mind is trying to mix up my feelings. All I care about now is for him to remember me and if remembering me means I needed to take some extra measures, I will.

Later in the morning, I reached Will's parents' place.

I saw Will standing on the porch, wearing a white shirt and brown pants. He looks as if we are going on our official first date. I'm sure Paul has something to do with it.

"You're here." He says as if he remembers who I am exactly.

"Yeah, are you ready to go to the restaurant?" I'm planning to get some brunch with him today.

He frowns, "Which one?"

"Barny's Grill and Bake." I smirk.

"Where's that?" Oh, here we go.

"Just near." I ask him to hop in the car instead of asking me the whereabouts of the restaurant.

When we reached the place, the waitress greets us and showed us our table.

"Here's the menu." The waitress said.

I shake my head. Will is trying to watch me.

"We'll have the usual." I say and the waitress smiles.

"Sure. Would that be all?"

I smile, "Yes." and she scoots out to place our orders.

"So we have our usuals?" He asked.

I nod, "Yes, as matter of fact, you order here almost every day when we first met."

"Really?" His face looks really surprised.

"Yes."

"So what's our usuals?"

I didn't answer him. As soon as our order arrived, the waitress served the dish.

"What's this?" Will asks upon seeing the food which I think he finds weird now. His reaction was the same reaction I had when he first brought me in this restaurant and he ordered the same exact dish.

I point on the plate, "That's a peach cobbler and the other is pie."

"This is not a pie, it's a pie crust."
