"i'll see you really soon," mumbled liam in my shoulder, while we were hugging. we were getting in the van to drive to exeter for the band's second to last show and liam was about to get in his car and drive home.

"drive safe, yeah?" i said, pulling away from the hug.

"of course," he replied with a smile. he turned to will, who was waiting for me next to the van's door. "thanks for letting me tag along, it was very fun."

"yeah, of course, it was great to meet you," will replied with a smile. i watched as my best friend waved at everyone as she was walking to his car. i tried to think about the bright side. tour was almost over and i would in fact see him in a few days. but also, tour was almost over. i'd been having so much fun these past few weeks that i didn't realize how fast they flew by.

i took my seat in the van and rested my head against the window. it was very cloudy and the chances of rain were high. i was in my own world, so i didn't realize when will sat down. he placed a hand on my shoulder, startling me.

"sorry," i mumbled when i turned around abruptly.

"why are you saying sorry?" he asked, brows furrowed slightly.

"i don't really know." will's eyes crinkled at the edges, indicating a smile. he stretched his arm out behind me and pulled me close to him by my other shoulder. i leaned my head on his shoulder, getting comfortable.

"are you sad about liam leaving?" he asked, caressing my shoulder. i hummed. "don't worry, a couple more days of tour and you're free," he said, in an attempt to comfort me.

"that's also a reason to be sad," i said, pouting. he turned to face me, as well as he could in our current position.

"tiana, don't worry, you'll see us all the time." he smiled softly at me.

"you better keep that promise."

"of course i will."

——

"that was hectic." i broke down laughing when will came backstage after the exeter show and those were the first words that left his mouth. he giggled at my laughter before speaking again.

"i need water." he made his way to a pack of water bottles that was on the floor behind me, but i had already grabbed one before he made his way to it, holding it out for him. he smiled widely. "thank you, darling," he said and opened his bottle. my cheeks turned pink.

"course," i mumbled, looking down.

"what did i tell you?" he asked, when he was done with his water. "don't hide your face."

"it's not my fault when you've made it your mission to make me red whenever you speak." i crossed my arms. he stared at me for a bit, probably making me blush more.

"its  not my fault you're adorable. and easy to fluster."  i pouted, playfully.

"you're not helping your case at all, right now." i groaned, throwing my head back. will giggled and wrapped an arm around my waist, pulling me closer. he pressed a kiss on my hair.

"what are we doing tonight?" i asked, looking up at him, changing the subject.

"dinner, then back to the hotel. you're playing me 'maybe i was boring' tonight," he said, pointing a finger at me. i groaned again.

"noo, it'll suck," i complained.

"it won't. are you implying that i'm a bad teacher?"

"yeah," i deadpanned. it was his turn to pout.

"i will cry."

"oh yeah, you gonna cry?" i joked. he looked at me dead in the eyes.

"shut up," he said and took my hand, dragging me to the exit.

and when you hold his hands it doesn't feel like flying and when you take his breath away he might as well be dying

i insisted that will sing his song and i play it on the guitar, because i have zero singing abilities. he disagreed but eventually let me do what i was comfortable with. i was playing it alright, kind of slowly, since i still wasn't too familiar with musical instruments. oh, why can't he just bore me to death? will started clapping when the song was over.

"there you go, you did it!" i smiled.

"was it good?" i asked, shyly.

"yes, tiana, it was great, considering you've never played before." i sat his acoustic guitar on the floor of his hotel room, scooting a little closer to him on the bed.

"thank you." he opened his arms and i immediately wrapped mine around him. he fell back, laying down with me on top of him. i rested my head on his chest, closing my eyes. one of his hands made its way to my hair, gently stroking it. soon enough, i drifted off.

"you need to promise that we'll see each other even after tour," zoe said, when we were back in the van the next morning to return to brighton for the last show. of course it got two shows.

"of course, i miss you already," i replied, causing both girls to laugh. i sat next to zoe this time, leandra and ash opposite us. ash took his phone out and started filming. i closed my hand into a fist and stretched it out towards zoe, mimicking a microphone.

"how do you feel about this being the last show?" i interviewed her for the camera.

"finally," she mumbled, jokingly, causing us all to laugh.

"you heard it here first, folks," i said in my makeshift microphone, turning to the camera. "zoe trumpet hates us." i shook my head.

"yes," zoe deadpanned. i looked at the camera and widened my eyes. ash then turned his phone towards the seats opposite us, where wilbur and joe sat. i giggled.

"look at william." will was staring straight ahead, eyes focused on nothing in particular. i'd say he was zoned out, but he was messing with us. when he noticed ash, he slowly turned his head to the camera and leaned forward. he gestured for ash to bring the camera closer, which he did. wilbur leaned closer and pretended to eat the camera. that earned laughter from all of us.
