Chapter 9: Let's end this

Atheina and Khenjie has been fake dating for weeks now.

Atheina was starting to fall for Khenjie and Khenjie was starting to fall too.

One afternoon, Atheina called Khenjie out for some 'Private talk'

"Khenjie.." Atheina said in a low tone
"O? Bat parang malungkot ka? Gagi kinakabahan ako sayo eh" Khenjie replies in an unserious tone

("Oh? Why do you seem so sad?, Youre making me nervous")

"Don't be, it's just.." Atheina replied
"Itigil na natin toh, I moved on from my ex and you did too, there's no reason for us to continue. Goodbye Khenjie" she adds before she walked away

("Let's stop this, I moved on from my ex and you did too, there's no reason for us to continue. Goodbye Khenjie")

Khenjie grabs Atheina by the arm.

"But why Atheina, why? Did I do something wrong?"

"It's not that Khenjie, it's not you, it's me"

"Ha? Bakit? Tapatin mo nga ako" Khenjie said, nearly shouting

(Huh? Why? Look at me Atheina, tell me, why?")

"Itigil na natin toh kasi nagiging totoo na, Khenjie, okay?"

("We should stop this cause..it's getting real, Khenjie, okay?")

"Oh sige, edi itigil natin,
Itigil na natin ang pagpapanggap at totoohanin na natin Atheina"

("Okay then, let's stop this
Let's stop this pretending and let's make it real, Atheina")

"Pero..
Paano kung mahal mo pa sya? Madami kayong pinagsamahan, mahirap na, Khenjie, what if we don't work out?"

("But..
What if, what if you still love her?, You've been through so much together, it's hard, Khenjie, what if we don't work out?")

"Paanong mahirap Atheina?
It's okay if it doesn't work out, what matters is we tried. Atheina"

("How is it hard Atheina?
It's okay if it doesn't work out, what matters is we tried, Atheina")

"You know what, Khenjie, youre right, what matters is we try"

"So, you in?" Khenjie asks hoping for a positive answer

Atheina nods

And that's where it started to get real
