**time skip** The next day, Atheina receives yet another call from Athenah's mother. This time, she actually listens to what she's saying. "Atheina.." Athenah's mom says, her voice shaky as if about to cry "Po?" Atheina responds, in a concerned tone ("Hm?" Atheina responds, in a concerned tone)
"Can I ask you a favor?.. It's for my daughter.."
"She's been really weak, lying on the hospital bed everyday, for about 2 weeks now.." she adds "I'm sorry about that, but what part of it should have my concern?" "She's been weak, and sick,...ever since she broke up with Khenjie...and I was thinking..."
Atheina's heart shatters into pieces even without having the sentence finished.. She knows where this is going..
"I know what you're about to say, and..I'm willing to give khenjie up for Athenah's health, but please... Let me have her first, let me feel loved, even for a short period of time. Besides, I assure you khenjie would choose her over me too.., please? Let me feel loved first.."
"Thanks for understanding.., and alright, be sure to update me"
The call ends, aswell as Atheina's before happy mood.. How is she supposed to handle this now, all she knows is..she doesn't have enough time..
She texts Khenjie without hesitation

Atheina sighs, and thinks to herself "Am I being that much of a people pleaser?" "She needs her, and I do too" "I need her more.. But she needs her, and she was first UGHHHHH"
