Chapter 12:Call? what call?

As they were enjoying theyre time, Khenjie went and left Atheina for a moment to take pictures of the beach.
Atheina looking at Khenjie with a loving gaze, damn shes inlove
Looking at her, chuckling to herself because she finds khenjie cute

her phone rings suddenly...who could it be?

"..Hello?" the voice of a woman called out from the phone call
"Excuse me, who might they be?" Atheina responds
"Is this Atheina?" the person asks
"Yup, its me, who might they be?"
"This is Athenah's Mother, you probably dont know her-"
And then Atheina cuts her off
"Yes, i know her".."Napatawag po kayo?"

["Yes, i know her".."You called"]

"Is Khenjie with you? Can i talk to her? Can my daughter talk to her?"

"Unfortunately, No, i am not with her at this moment, but ill send your regards for sure"
"Its just-" and again she was cut off by Atheina, who is pissed off cause she seems to know the reason she called
"Im sorry, but, i have to go" She ends the call and sees Khenjie coming back

"Hi, the beach is beautiful, btw..who were you calling?" Khenjie asks
"Call? What call?" Atheina plays innocent
"I was just um..listening to music" she adds
"Alright, whatever you say" Khenjie says, still having doubts

Atheina cant help but be bothered by what Athenah's Mom was gonna say.
Same for Khenjie, who was bothered because she knows Atheina was in a phone call and is hiding something from her.

Is there gonna be a conflict so early in their relationship? Yes? No? Maybe?
