Lucas and i's date night went completely different than how we planned it.
When he stood me up and didn't answer his phone I got scared and went to his house, when he wasn't home, both Karen and I started to freak out and then once he got home, all wet and muddy from Nathan and the team, I knew what I had to do next.

I sent a quick prayer up to the sky before swinging the car door open and quickly getting inside before anyone could see me.
"Uh, hi?" Nathan spoke with a shocked look on his face. "I'll be your tutor." I blurted before I had a chance to change my mind "Really?" He looked so relieved. "But only if you follow my three rules." I spoke in a serious tone "Even tutors have rules?" He chuckled but I just kept a straight face. "Okay, okay, what are they?"

"1. Lucas never, ever, ever finds out. I'm serious. I'm not some pawn to make him pissed off or jealous." I started, waiting for him to nod before I continued. "2. You stop your bullshit. No more 'pranks', you and your team have to finally accept Lucas." He nodded once again. "I don't have much of a choice, do I?" He sighed and I shook my head "Not if you want to pass all your classes."

"And what's the third one?" A smile finally formed onto my lips as I fully turned to him.
"Say please and thank you." I finished.
"For what?" He chuckled, making me cross my arms. "For helping your ass." I pointed out, enjoying his defeated sigh. "Please and thank you." He mumbled making me pout "You can do better than that." He gave me an embarrassed look which just made me flash my pearls at him.

"Please help me, Whitney." He started and I gestured for him to continue. "Thank you for this." I clapped as he finished. "Consider that your first lesson, manors." I teasingly pinched his cheek before I climbed out of his car. "7am, the boat dock. If you're even five minutes late, I'm leaving." I stated "Why not in here?" He gestured towards the school "I told you Lucas can't know. We're keeping this as far away from him as possible."

I watched the time on my phone. 6:55am.
Ten more minutes and I can just run off.
"Good morning." My body tensed up before I quickly slipped my phone into my bag.
"I honestly didn't think you'd come." I admitted as he placed a cup of coffee in front of me.
"I told you, I don't have much of a choice." He shrugged as he sat across from me.

"I only drink my coffee with two sugars and two cream." I pointed out as I glanced down at the cup. "Good.. me too." He smiled to himself as I flipped open my blue binder. "Want some?" He held out a small box for Cracker Jack popcorn, making my face scrunch. "Those things are disgusting." I shook my head "And you say I'm the one that needs to use my manors." He chuckled as he popped a popcorn into his mouth.
"No thankful." I corrected myself.

"Better." He teasingly smiled which made me roll my eyes. "Don't make me regret this." I warned as he reached into the box, pulling out the mini surprise. "Think I'm lucky enough for it to be a cheat sheet?" He glanced back up at me.
"Think I'm lucky enough for it to be a guy that won't waste my time?" I gave him a fake smile as he ripped the package open. "Looks like we're both out of luck." He shrugged as he pulled out a small pink bracelet. "It's for you."
