I walked towards the school, the morning air waking me up as I twisted the strap of my bag around my shoulder. "You still giving me the silent treatment?" I spoke up as I joined Lucas' side. "This is the longest we've ever fought."
It's been a week since the father Vs son game, after the game we got in another argument because he seen me and Nathan hugging. He slapped up that he doesn't trust me so I said the same about Peyton and Brooke.

"I know... I'm sorry." The tiniest smile fell on my face. "You should be." Should he though? Maybe he's right to not trust me. I still haven't told him about what really happened at the beach house and I don't ever plan on telling him, ever.
"I do trust you, Whitney. I just don't trust him."
I glanced down at my feet, trying my best not to feel guilty. "That's fair." I nodded, before either of us had a chance to say anything else Peyton walked up, right between Lucas and I as if I wasn't even there. "Hey, got a sec?"

"I should get going." I lied, excusing myself.
My first period today is a free period to just study or do whatever the hell I want and for the first time ever I didn't have to tutor anyone in my free class. I didn't bother to look back at Peyton and Lucas. I just made my way towards one of the outside tables. It was a nice morning, a good time to catch up on a few chapters of the book Lucas gave me.

"Hey." I grabbed my book from my bag before dramatically looking around the place, glancing behind my shoulders. "What?" Nathan gave me a confused look. "Just making sure Dan isn't lurking around to call me a whore again." I chuckled but he didn't find it amusing, I did now though. I mean really, how did I ever let myself be bothered by something Dan Scott said?
"Sorry about that."

"Nathan, you apologized like a trillion times, it's all good." I reassured him as I squeezed his hand from across the table. "Besides, you're not responsible for anything that asshole does."
Nathan just nodded before grabbing the book from my hand. "You're in to poetry?" He gave me a weird look. "Not really." I chuckled, taking it back. "Well, anyways... you coming tonight?"

"Tonight?" Nathan and I have been studying for exams so much, I don't even think I know what day it is anymore. "The away game." He pointed to the school sign behind me that gave the details. "We wipe the floor with their mullets every year." I chuckled as I turned back to him, giving him an unsure look. Lucas didn't even invite me to the game... "Please come, I need my good luck charm." I held my laugh in, resting my chin into my hand. "Does that... does that usually work on girls?"

"Yeah." He nodded, lightly laughing as I smacked his arm. "Put seriously, I want you to come."
I glanced back to where I previously stood, watching as Peyton handed Lucas a CD.
"I don't think Lucas wants me to come." I tossed my book back into my bag, suddenly not having the motivation to do anything. I stood up, walking away, Nathan quick to follow after me.
"Who gives a shit what that kid wants?" I glanced up, giving him a warning look. "I honestly can't keep up with you two. You hate each other one moment, you're all over each other the next and then the minute after that he's all over Peyton."
