𝐈𝐌𝐀𝐆𝐈𝐍𝐄... because Howl likes to go out of the castle for days on end, you two hardly get to see each other. To keep yourself preoccupied, to look after Markl, have small talk with Calcifer, and clean up. However, when Howl does come back, instead of resting, he makes it his duty to take care of you. It's not a competition, but Howl sure thinks otherwise.
He'll wake up before you just to make sure that he can make breakfast for everyone or even clean up to get the weight of it off your shoulders as if he already doesn't do a lot.
