Raven woke up in a dark room filled with red light with an eerily dark corner. The red light wasn't very bright although it lit up everything but that corner. As she started waking up, she realized she wasn't in the cabin anymore. The wolf was nowhere to be seen either. Enthralled by the red light she walked toward the windows that appeared to be the source of it. Four windows, two on the left and the right. She slowly walked to one of the windows and stared out of it in awe. Becoming lost in thought and wondering where the light was coming from outside, it became pitch black for a second. Only another light source was now emitting from her which was also red. Suddenly, the room was red once again. This continued until Raven noticed she could see where the light was coming from when it became pitch black. Within the reflection on the window, she could see herself. Her own eyes were red, with an extra pair of eyes that she painfully recognized. The demon inside her was staring right back at her in her reflection. Once the red light engulfed the room once again, she realized, it wasn't just a red light filling the room. It was eyes, blinking and watching her every move. A deep, terrifying laugh filled the room and outside the window, somehow in her mind as well. "Raven." The laugh resumed. The eyes behind the windows moved away. Trembling with fear and anger Raven screamed for the eyes and who they belonged to, to leave her alone and never talk to her again. As the laugh grew more intense, the room began to shake furiously. Debris falling from the ceiling around her, the room collapsing. Once the dust and debris settled, emerging from red fog, was Trigon, Ravens father. "You cannot avoid the inevitable." Raven let out a loud, demonic scream as if she was reprimanding him for being here and telling her what she can and cannot do. "Good, let it out. It'll happen eventually." The glass that was separating their gaze rose in front of her. revealing her own reflection. Her demon could not hold back any longer. It took control of her, controlled everything she said and did. Fighting as hard as she could, she collapsed. Feeling defeated, in pain, and regretting everything that happened at the tower. Her last thought was about Beast Boy, the wolf. the team. Everything was over. Everything was black again. She awoke in a cold sweat in the original room she was in, however the room was lit with a subtle light outside the window and the dark corner was still there. She laid for a while crying, facing the wall, curled up in a ball within her hooded cape. A hand touched her shoulder from the darkness. She confided in the figure that emerged still dark as can be, leaning into it letting everything out. "Shh little one. Everything's okay now. I'll keep you safe." Ravens' eyes widened as she started lessening her grip on the figure. Slowly looking up, light shone on the figure as her eyes moved up. As the light hit the wrists, neck, and face she was blinded by metal. A familiar, arguably more traumatizing voice. Slade. He let out a menacing giggle and he reached for her throat. Raven tried to push him away but to no avail. He had her in his grasp again. As Raven struggled to breathe and let out a scream everything went dark. A loud bang woke Raven up in a cold sweat grasping at her head and throat. Quickly looking at the door with her powers ready but still trembling, the wolf standing in the doorway alert however concerned about her new friend. Raven settled down and took a deep breath collapsing on the floor. The wolf walked up to her and sat with her. Raven fell into the wolfs fur and cried. Letting everything out she confided in the wolf more than she would have anyone else. The nightmare was over for now and she snapped back into reality. Raven spent the day in the cabin and in the surrounding area taking it easy and fishing for her and the wolf in the nearby pond. As nightfall grew closer, Raven and her wolf who she named Arella, started heading back to the cabin. Tonight, Arella was sleeping inside next to Raven's bed. Maybe Raven could sleep in peace, feeling protected and secure.
