Chapter 8

Raven came up to a forest within the next few hours. She didn't have any supplies but she figured she didn't need any. Raven then felt a presence behind her. She thought it was just an animal so she kept going. She heard footsteps this time. So she stopped and turned as quick as she could. At that moment it was a flash of green and she saw where the line of this luminous green led behind a tree a few feet away. She looked and it's was Star. "Star!? What are you doing here!?" Raven exclaimed. Starfire looked down and a single tear went down her cheek. "I did not want you to go and I do not want to lose you. Raven your like the sister to me....a great deal of my happiness is because of you. If you were to leave I would have no happiness left." Raven wrapped her arms around Star and they both fell to the ground holding each other. "Star I had no idea. I'm sorry but you and I both know this is what I need to do to keep those two at bay...I have to do this. I need you to keep an eye on Beast Boy for me. Please Star for me..?" Star then looked at Raven and hugged her one last time. "Okay but promise you will be back soon." Raven squeezed her. "I promise." Star then returned to the tower as Raven kept on her path. It was getting dark by now so she had to find somewhere to sleep and stay warm. She looked everywhere until she found a cave that looked pretty cozy. She made a fire and explored to make sure it was safe, once it was clear she stared out of the cave in deep thought and looked at the stars and thought about what she was going to do about Terra and Slade and of course Beast Boy. She loved him so much and he loved her. "The parting of our ways begins I suppose.." Raven thought to herself.
