as my eyes fluttered open, i became aware of a heavy weight draped over my body. i looked behind to see blades arm holding me close, my back pressed against his chest. his breathing was soft, and it was the calmest id ever seen him.

i smile to myself, shutting my eyes and leaning back into his touch. the first day of nationals didnt start until after lunch, so we had the morning to ourselves.

"y/n..?" his groggy voice reached my ears in a whisper. i smile to myself and turn around to face him.

"someone wanted to cuddle last night." i teased, pulling him closer to me. he scoffed and smacked my head softly, yet not pushing me away.

"shut up, you piece of shit." he grumbled, hand grabbing my waist and pulling me even more towards him. "go back to sleep"

"its already 8 bladie, lets get breakfast." i whined, feeling the emptiness of my stomach. he groaned and rested his head on my shoulder, causing a blush to erupt on my face. "blade.."

"ive never slept so well in my life." he replied, monotone. i ran my hands through his hair gently.

"i never knew sleepy bladie was such a softy." i whispered, holding him close.

"i never knew you'd be the reason i could sleep so well." my cheeks turned a brighter shade of pink. fuck, fuck, fuck.

"oh shut up, stupid." i chuckle, trying to lighten the mood.

"im being serious, idiot." he replied. "fuck, what are you doing to me...?"

"i-" i paused, before leaning down, my lips against his forehead. "come on, its time to get up."

he sighed before sitting up, hair falling over his shoulders, a yawn escaping his mouth. i hugged him from behind, causing him to topple over.

"i hate you asshole."

"yeah, i hate you too." i smiled to myself, blade leaving the bed to go to the bathroom.
