-Remi's POV-

It had been a few days since my first hunt and I was still pumped. It had felt odd at first but now I really appreciated my dads for helping us learn how to hunt. My cheetah felt oddly relived in my mind. Humming to myself I came out of my thoughts. My legs were moving fast under me on the school race track. The wind in my hair felt fantastic as I ran. My heart pumping fast and my lungs burning as I panted harshly. Lapping Hope and Mei for the third time before I skidded to a halt. Heaving as I stopped I smiled gratefully as Leo offered me a bottle of water.

Taking the bottle I unscrewed the cap and downed its contents in one gulp. Working to control my heart I looked around at the team. My eyes landed on my brother and his best friend Peter. Phoenix had lost his shirt and was wiping away his sweat. What I was more interested in though was the way Peter was looking at him. He was looking at my brother like Phoenix was the most precious thing in the world to him.

"Ray, is Peter into my brother" I asked the boy beside me as I stood my full height.

"You didn't notice"

"No"

"Strange I would've thought you'd have caught on. Peter is never far from your brother and Peter is the only one your brothers cheetah lets get close when Phoenix is having an episode" Ray mused, chuckling as he saw the confusion on my face.

"But Nix never said anything to me if they were together" I voiced my confusion thick as I glared across the field at Peter.

"They're not, Phoenix hasn't even noticed Peter likes him like that" Ray chuckled, as we watched Peter pout when Phoenix pulled on his shirt.

"But its so obvious" I pointed out motioning to them.

Waving my hands at them my cheetah forced a distressed noise past my lips.

"I'm gonna tell my brother" I sated, starting to walk towards Nix and Peter.

A hand wrapping around my wrist had me turning to glare at Ray. A growl bubbled up in my throat as I looked at his hand around me. Rays eyes widened in surprise as he quickly let go, holding his hands up in surrender.

"Wait. Let it play out. They need to figure it out for themselves" Ray rushed as I tried to walk away again.

"But"

"I know how you feel but this is something your brother needs to decide for himself" Ray reasoned, motioning to Peter.

Peter pulled up Nix and he smiled softly at my brother as they headed back to the track. They were laughing as they started a slow jog. I watched for several beats more sighing as I realised it wouldn't be fair for me to but in.

"Okay" I agreed finally.

Thanking Ray I left him to go see the coach. A burly human woman that was equal parts harsh and kind. She wore a tracksuit and was yelling at the other team members to improve their forms and not push themselves to hard.

"Coach" I greeted as I stood next to her.

"Hey Remi, what's up"

"I came to ask if you have the line up for the next competition and perhaps the location" I asked.

"Lets see. The comp will be held here for once. And for the participants, you, your brother and Hope in the 100 and 200 meter sprint. Mei, Peter, Ray and Leo in the relay race and the hurdles" coach replies tapping her pen on her clipboard.

"That's a lot of events for a running club"

"True but I know you kids can handle it"

"HEY. ONLY CLUB MEMBERS IN THIS SPACE"  The shout from coach started me before she raced away to three boys vandalising the school right in view of the track.

Shaking my head I jogged back to the track keeping up with Hope and Mei as they started their second circuit.

"I talked to coach the comp is here this time around so less travelling time for us" I mentioned as we ran.

There noises of acknowledgement were all I was expecting as we ran. Time to get more practice in.

-Kenji's POV-

My mind was working overdrive as my pencil raced across my paper. I was making a game character for a slow life farming game and his clothes were giving me pause. I wanted to give them cute little overalls and a straw hat but the company I worked for wanted me to give them a shirt and shorts. So I decided to turn in both and hoped they preferred my clothes choice on the character.

Looking up from my design I stretched out. Raising my arms above my head I moaned as my back popped. It was time for a break. Pushing up from my desk I groaned as my knees cracked. Damn I really had been sitting there for too long. Walking out of my art room I found my way to the kitchen. Checking the clock I smiled as I realised the cubs should be back soon. The cheetahs had their running club and would be back late.

"Hmmm three back late since Spiros works for the mayor now" I mused as I gathered ingredients for dinner.

Lasagne tonight I think. Humming to myself I started the prep work. Dicing veggies. Pre boiling the pasta sheets, frying the mince and vegetables. Layering the sheets and sauces in a tray I started singing to myself waving a spatula around like a microphone. It was a vibe and I was loving it. Putting the lasagne in the oven.

A text on my phone interrupted my dance party cooking. Looking at the device I smiled at the picture of my family on the front screen. Opening the messages my heart lifted as I saw it was Spiros. It read.

"I Can't wait to see you and the cubs tonight kitten, oh and I love you and miss you"

The message had several hearts after it and I swooned. My mate still made my heart skip a beat and I loved him for it. Sending my feelings through our mate bond I moaned as Spiros returned them. My body heated and I groaned as I realised it was still hours before he'd be home. Sending a message back with a few suggestive emoji and phrases along with a message of my love.

"So naughty kitten" Spiros' voice in our mind link startled me and a thrill shot straight to my groin.

"Only for you Spiros" I replied laughing out loud as he growled through our link before it was abruptly cut off.

I suppose he had to get back to work. Laughing again I went back to cooking and cleaning. The bus would be around soon and I'd get to see my perfect little babies.
