I am seventeen years old and I'm still going to high school in Star Hills, place where nothing ever happens.
It was usual Monday morning. I was getting ready for school when it happened. I really needed pencil and when I closed my eyes, pencil was in my hand. I thought that I'm crazy so I neglected it. When I got to school, I saw it's already 8 am which means I'm late. I went to math as quickly as I could.
„I'm sorry I'm late."- I said.
„Take your seat and be quiet, miss Collister."- professor responded.
I did how he said. Math passed unexpectedly fast. Second period was English.
„We have competition in English tomorrow in New Orleans. Alex, Tina, Derek and Hope are going."- professor said convinced that we will go.
„Do we have to go?" - Derek asked.
„Well, if you don't go, you will have to go to school"
„We'll go!" - we said in same voice.
„Par excellence!"
Next four periods passed as long as I've said biscuit. After school I went in McDonalds with Alex, my best friend. We know each other for five or six years. We found empty seat and ordered food.
„So, will we sit together in bus" - I asked.
„If the sky is blue, we will" - she said jokingly.
We talked for two hours when we realized that there is no one left in McDonalds. We paid the bill and exited.
„I'll see you tomorrow, be safe." - Alex said.
„You too and good night" - I said, and begun walking toward my house.
It was dark, streets were empty and everything was so quiet. All houses looked the same. Wind played with my hair, but it didn't bother me. I heard owl behind me. Then I remembered what happened this morning and started thinking about it.
It was all so confusing, how the hell did it end up in my hand and why, why me and why now? Same thoughts were going through my head when I was supposed to be sleeping. In one moment I just fell asleep with only one thought on my mind: What the hell happened this morning?
