Chapter 3: #FutureCEO

Christian's POV

"Kuya on the way na daw si lolo.", tumango ako.

Umupo muna ako sa sofa so that I can rest for a while. I'm too tired to think right now pero di maiiwasan na magflashback lahat ng memories specially na nandito na ko sa Philippines.
Bawat parte ng bahay na to may alaala. Ito ang bumuo sa kung ano ako ngayon.

"May interview daw si Jasmine ngayon. ", agad na binuksan ni Kylie ang TV at umupo sa tabi ko.

"Is it true? Na alam mo na, tinadyakan mo si Luigi sa parte na hindi naman dapat?
Totoo ba yon?", tanong ng reporter.

"Well ofcourse that's not true.!", singit ng Luigi na yun kahit di naman sya tinatanong. Defensive.

"Pero Luigi may nakapagsabi kasi sa amin na nangyari daw yun sa set. Ano ba talaga ang nangyari?"

"Bat naman yun gagawin sakin ni Jasmine? That's not true..
Alam mo naman na we're in good terms. And I'm actually courting her so.. that's not going to happen.", courting her?

Ang kapal naman ng mukha nya di sila bagay.

"How about let's ask Jasmine.. Jas totoo ba yung nakalap namin na information?"

"Siguro po para di na lumaki yung issue, kaylangan ko nang sabihin yung totoo. Yes totoo po yun. Totoo na nangyari yun."

"What? So anong nangyari? Bakit?"

"Part po yun ng scene namin sa upcoming namin na movie sa Valentine's.. sorry Direk kung sinabi ko " , nagpeace sign si Jasmine.

"Hay nako,  kaylangan din namin magsorry kay Direk..
Sorry Direk at lumabas pa tong issue na to. Pero Jasmine, sa totoong buhay kaya mo ba manadyak ng ganun sa private part ng lalaki?", tanong ng reporter.

"Yes. I think so.. kung manyak sila.. OO. Bat naman hindi diba?"

"Well, your right. Bilang babae we also need to protect ourselves sa mga mapang-abusong lalaki.. Tama ba Luigi?"

"Look who's here?", naputol ang panonood namin sa pagdating ni lolo. Tumayo si Kylie para mag mano at yumakap naman ako sabay mano.

"My grandson... It's been a while.. How about you follow me ha and let's talk."

Sinundan ko si lolo sa study room.

"I'm happy that you're back!"

"Yes. And my plan is I'll be staying here na for good."

"I guess you've already recovered from that tragedy."

"Yes lolo."

"Ako, I always remember the warm smile of your father.
Kaya masaya ko na bumalik ka na dahil parang bumalik din ang Dad mo.
You look exactly like him. And you'll take over na sa Lee Holdings, i just need to finish something..Ikaw ang successor ko."

"How about Tito Andy and how about JP.? They've been working there for years"

"And ikaw? San ka nagwowork? Diba sa branch natin sa France for our Clothing brand?
I'm choosing you not just because you are my grandson but because I believe in you na hindi mo papabayaan ang company. Tomorrow may shareholders meeting and I will introduce you to them."

"Lolo I would accept your offer but I have a request."

"Ano yon.?"

"Dont tell them yet about your plans for me.
I want to be a part of a certain segment in Lee Holdings first and I want lang na wala silang doubt sakin. Ayoko naman na may hard feelings si JP and Tito sakin."

" Wala silang karapatan. First, hindi ko kadugo si Andy and 2nd JP is his son on his first wife, hindi sa Tita Lanie mo.. Ikaw at si Kylie lang ang apo ko. And please try to convince Kylie to work for our company. Wala syang growth as a blogger. That's all. i know your tired from your trip. Magpahinga kana"

"I agree sa mga sinabi mo lolo except sa papakialaman natin si Kylie.
She love what she's doing and I think we need to support her."

"Okay then. We might need to have a PR company.
I don't want to see her working on a different company."

Ewan ko ba kay lolo, matatapakan ba ang pride nya kapag magwork si Kylie para sa ibang company? Hindi na lang ako sumagot kasi hahaba pa ang usapan. I need to rest.

"Yea. Probably. I think I need to rest na po. See you tomorrow.", I hugged him short and tight.

Shareholders meeting. Oo first time ko. Lahat nakaupo doon. Ang kilala ko lang syempre si Lolo, si JP, si Tito Andy, si Ninang Lani at si Mr. Lao na madalas kausap ni Dad noon.
Ang iba, hindi ko na kilala kung sino. I was introduced by Lolo kanina and kagaya ng pinagusapan walang salitang CEO na narinig. They're discussing some urgent issues slash announcements muna then after that nagstart ng tumayo si Tito Andy to tell us kung ano ang growth percentage for each brand/company under Lee Holdings for this month.

"Well first, let me inform you ang company na may highest growth percentage, ang pinamumunuan ko.. the Lee General Construction with 82% growth for this month."

Nagpalakpakan silang lahat.

"Ofcourse ang malls natin with 43% growth syempre si JP ang Head nun..", kaylangang sinasabi pa talaga? Kahit alam naman ng lahat na sila ang Head nun?

Mas mayabang pa pala si Tito sakin.

"Ang Lee Clothing Line with 64% growth.. at ang pinakalowest natin for this month with .0001% growth ang LEE perfume brands ."

After nun ay umupo na si Tito.

"Schedule a meeting with the perfume brand's management team.
Please inform them that they should be ready to have a presentation about their marketing plans for next year. It is obvious na marketing ang problem with that product." , sabi ni lolo sa secretary nya nagtakedown notes naman ang secretary.

"By the way, Mr. Christian.. Saang company ka maghehead?", tanong ni Mr. Lao.

"Ofcourse you need to prove yourself just like what JP's doing.", sabat ni Tito Andy.

"Yes my dear grandson. Well, you have to choose is it the malls or the clothing line?", tanong ni Lolo syempre di nya sinali yung LEE perfumes kasi parang nililibing ko na ang sarili ko nun. He really wanted me to become his successor. And syempre I won't fail him since pinaghirapan din palakihin ni Dad ang Lee Holdings.

"Haha. Ofcourse sa Clothing line na yang si Christian.. tama ba couz?", feeling close na sabi ni JP. 

I smiled.

"Okay. I will become the Head of Lee Perfume Brand.", at kagaya ng inaasahan nagulat ang lahat at ngumiti naman si Tito Andy.

"Are you sure?", tanong ni Lolo.

"Yes. I'm sure. I think they need me there. And I will help them out. I love challenges."

"Great! A positive attitude. Suits you best for a CEO position. Tama ba ko?", tumango tango naman ang mga subordinates ni Lolo.

Sabi ko wag na magsabi ng mga ganyan ganyan ehh. Pero that's lolo..
