Jade wakes up tied to Andrew's bed with Andrew curled up next to her. She tries to move, but the cuffs and rope prevent her from doing so.
Her movement wakes up Andrew, and he then whispers in her ear. "You're mine to subdue. Understand?"
"I'm not yours." Jade pulls on her restraints. She growls from the pain in her right arm and wrist. Andrew starts to choke her in order to subdue her. Jade continues pulling on the restraints, and Andrew's wooden bed frame cracks but doesn't break. She stops pulling as the lack of oxygen to her brain is causing her to go weak.
"I said you're mine." Andrew bites his wrist and forces more of his blood into Jade's mouth. Even though she tries to avoid it, it still goes down her throat.
Jade shivers and gets dizzy even though Andrew just releases his grip on her throat. "I hate you." Jade growls.
"You will grow to love me." Andrew kisses her neck. "Now, I'm going to let you go get breakfast. I expect you back here soon."
"Don't hold your breath waiting on me." Jade laughs.
"Oh, I won't. Because if you're not back here in 30 minutes, I'll come down there, and you won't like what happens next."
"Sure..." Jade scowls as Andrew unlocks her cuffs and unties the rope around her ankles. Jade rubs her wrists first; then, when Jade stands, she hisses because she gets pins and needles in her feet. Jade hobbles to the door, and then the pins and needles fade. Once she gets the feeling back in her feet, she walks normally down to the first floor.
Jade meets Daniel in the restaurant, and she ignores him when he greets her. Adam and Lily are sitting at one of the tables glaring at her. She can see the remnants of their injuries from the night before. Jade goes into the kitchen and grabs some food, and then she sits on the opposite side of the bar from Daniel.
"Jade..." Daniel starts.
"Leave me alone, Daniel." Jade hisses.
"Jade, please, I need to talk to you." Daniel whispers while walking over to her.
"I don't wanna talk to you. Get away from me." Jade stands up and grabs her food, walking away from Daniel. As she walks away, Daniel grabs her arm. Jade quickly shifts the food over and slaps Daniel across the face with her free hand. Adam and Lily growl.
"You killed Hunter. If I were my sister, I would've killed you on the spot. No hesitation and no warning." Jade growls.
"Can you just hear me out?" Daniel pleads.
Jade yanks her arm out of Daniel's grip and starts walking to her second floor room. Daniel follows her, and when she goes to shut the door, he wedges himself into the room.
"What do you want?" Jade sits on her bed.
"I didn't kill Hunter." Daniel says. "I started the process of turning him into a vampire..."
"WHAT?!" Jade fumes.
"You two seem to like each other, and I figured since you told me you aren't exactly human, you might have an extended lifetime.i wanted to give you two more time together." Daniel looks at the ground.
"You don't understand; I'm cursed, Daniel. Those that I love are hunted. You just put a larger target on his back. But I'm sure my blood had some effect... Maybe it..." Jade trails off into thought.
"What do you mean your blood had an effect? What kind of effect? I know it makes me higher than anything else. What else would it do?" Daniel says, puzzled.
"Nothing, but if he does turn, you have to take care of him and teach him how to be a discreet vampire. He can't lose the human world. If I have to do... Yeah, I might just..." Jade ponders.
"Can you tell me what you're thinking?" Daniel pleads.
"I can't tell you. It will put a target on your back and mine. You will find out eventually. Others will figure it out, and I will be hunted again. But I will always be hunted, and no matter how well I hide and conceal, someone finds me and figures out what I am. It's inevitable, but I'm still going to prevent it as long as I can.
"I will sign that document promising I won't tell." Daniel says.
Jade sighs. She remembers that her purse is in Andrew's room. "We'll have to do it another time; my purse is in Andrew's room."
"Okay. Just bring it to me, and I'll sign." Daniel smiles.
"Fine." Jade finishes her food and gets up to leave. Daniel follows her to the 6th floor, and upon entering the top floor, they go their separate ways. Jade knocks on Andrew's door, and he opens it, smiling widely.
"Glad you know your place." Andrew smirks. Jade scowls.
"My place is below nobody. If anything, you should worship me." She spits her words. Andrew slaps her and pins her to the wall by her throat.
"You will not talk back to me or tell me what I should be doing." He inches closer to her face. "Is. That. Clear?"
"Fuck. Off." She spits in his face. He wipes the saliva off with one hand and tightens his grip with the other. Jade tries to push Andrew off by pushing his face away, but he just bites her hand.
She makes a sound of pain, and he stops biting her hand. Then, he slams her into the bed by her throat, causing her eyes to roll back.
"You're mine understand? I can do whatever I want to you." Andrew hisses as Jade's vision starts to go black. She gently taps his wrist as her eyes close. He finally let's go, and Jade gasps for air.
"Are you done fighting?" Andrew raises an eyebrow, smirking.
"For now..." Jade whispers.
"Well, I'll always win in the end anyway." Andrew then restrains Jade to the bed. She attempts to protest, but Andrew knocks her out.

Once again, Jade wakes up restrained to Andrew's bed; she doesn't see Andrew and senses nobody is nearby, so she uses her ability to manipulate metal to unlock the cuffs. She then unties her ankles. She grabs her purse and heads to Daniel's room.
She finds Daniel asleep, so she heads to the second floor and gets ready for the party she's attending later. She puts on a slit, low cut, and sleeveless black velvet dress that glitters like the stars. It goes down to her ankles, and she wears black and silver block heels. Then she puts her long hair into a French twist held by a hair clasp instead of bobby pins.
She looks at the time and realizes she has 45 minutes until it's acceptable to show up early. So she heads to the main floor and starts packing the remainder of her food.
Raphael walks past and stops upon seeing her outfit and her packing. "Where do u think you're going?" He growls.
"To the party I must attend. Don't bother trying to stop me." Jade pulls her dagger from her thigh sheath. "You will lose."
Raphael rolls his eyes but doesn't move closer to Jade. "Leave your stuff here. You're coming back after." Raphael walks away.
Jade puts her dagger away and finishes packing, moving it all to the lobby.
Jade then walks down the street and to the nearest gas station. She orders a cab to the area of the party.
Once she arrives in the general vicinity of the party, she looks around. She is in an industrial neighborhood in Brooklyn; she turns down a narrow street lined with old warehouses.
She walks up to the address on the card and knocks on the door. A thin yet tall man opens the door. He has spiky and glittery black hair that obviously has products in it, cat eyes, and high cheekbones. He looks Indonesian or at least part of that. He has broad shoulders and is definitely dressed for a fancy event.Jad puts her hands on her hips. "Hello, Magnus. Remember me?" She grins.
