I wonder if it knows

The sun shines in the snow

The colors of the rain

Wash away the pain

As we lay here singing

Waiting for what the moonlight brings

There's that song again. Over and over again. I hear you, but I can't see you.

She wasn't in the meadow this time. She was leaning forward on a balcony looking up at the moon, singing to it. I could make out the small smile on her face as she turned around to face "me". Her mouth opened as she smiled fully. She reached out toward "me". Gently, "I" took her hand and stepped toward her. "I" started to say something, but the images started to blur.

And then I awoke. I got up and straightened myself out on my bed while covering my face with both my hands. Sighing deeply, I uncovered my face and looked directly at the clock hanging above my dresser. The clock read 5 A.M. and no human should ever be up at that time.

The dream was all I could think about. It would be nice if I were able to talk to her in my dreams, but the dream always ends when "I" start to speak. Although, I don't really know who "I" am in my dreams.

"A lost lamb has appeared in the meadow"

I started to sing,

"I wonder if it knows?"

I truly wonder what if it knows? What would it know? It's lost. Does it even know that it is lost? I wonder what the fairy lady is referring to when she sings about it. Regardless, it doesn't matter. Dreams are dreams. And once "I" wake up, it ends all the same.

My move-in day came faster than I had anticipated because before I knew it I was walking into the housing building, waiting to be assigned to my boarding house. I was more nervous than excited because I had never been in one place for so long. To think that I would be spending the entire year here makes me nervous to the point that I feel my heart in my throat. I could feel myself shaking as the housing lady called my name and gave me my boarding house information and pamphlets. She assigned and directed me to my house before smiling at me and telling me to have a great day. She welcomed me to the school and I made my way to my house.

Something that was interesting about the housing system was that it wasn't completely random. It was based on a questionnaire system. Similar to college, people were allowed to choose their housing based on certain preferences. However, this was not the case for me because they gave me whatever was left and I am completely thankful for that.

I had followed the housing lady's instructions exactly and before I knew it I was in front of a big stone building that looked like it was built in the early nineteen hundreds. There was a plaque on the side that read Avalon on it. Honestly, it looked like it could be the haunted house from the show "House of Anubis," but let's hope that the house won't have any secret doors or frozen bodies in the cellar. Although, I guess you could say that I am Nina because I am basically an American. I shook the thought out of my head before I knocked on the door.

One would think that a house would have some sort of doorbell no? Considering the age of the house though, and how well it is preserved I would say that any modern changes to the design would be blasphemous.

I took a deep breath as I heard footsteps come toward the door. The door cracked open and I was greeted by a woman who appeared to be in her forties. She was a brunette with a few strands of gray in her hair. She was a bit shorter than me and it appeared that I had disturbed her work as she was wearing rubber gloves and had an apron on. However, her face beamed and a smile came to her face as she made eye contact with me.
