Ah, I'm in the meadow again. I am getting sick and tired of this Shadow and Bone reference. When am I going to get a little more than just a field, a balcony and a town square? There had to be a little bit more no?
I was in the dream that I always had. The beautiful lady was singing in front of me once more. A hand would reach out and I would expect to awaken as the scene before me fades to black. But this time I didn't awaken. I thought I was watching the same thing as before, but this time there was no end. I could tell that he was gazing at her lovingly. I could assume that he was handsome because this time I could hear his voice. A deep and smooth voice came from the man.
This is the first time that I had heard him speak. "What are you doing here beloved?" He asked.
She turned toward him and as he held out his hand for hers. She placed her hand in his and he proceeded to kiss it before looking up at her again. This time I got a glimpse at her face. She had sapphire blue eyes just like mine. They were piercing, but gentle as she seemed to be relaxed under the sun and under the gaze of the man that stood before her. A smile adorned her face as she began to speak. Even her normal voice sounded angelic. It was as if an angel themselves were whispering into my ears. "Would thou care to join me?" She asked.
"Join you?" He asked mischievously.
Even her laugh was beautiful. The sun shone on her as if she were the most important thing in the world. Nothing could break this moment as the man could only look at her with an expression full of pure adoration.
At least that is what I am assuming because who would not love a child as gentle and beautiful as this? It was as if this woman was born to be loved.
It is obvious how much this man burned for the woman before him as he held her closer to him in an embrace. "Might I ask what it is that thou would request me to partake in?"
She broke out of his embrace to walk in front of the man as he followed in suit. Deeper into the meadow, into the shade of an apple tree. Picking a blossom from the tree, the man placed it into the hair of the woman. She gazed kindly at him and blushed at the gesture.
"When the moon is out we bask in the moonlight. The moon is the witness for whatever secrets we may have. But the sun is jealous that the moon is the only witness."
He held her face in the palm of his hand. "Thou must never wander too far from the moon. So be it that the moon is the only witness. May the sun forever be jealous. Thou art all I ask and thou art all I ever desire."
He laid a kiss upon her lips and pulled away looking into her eyes he said a name. "My only beloved, Artoria."
I woke up with my head literally in a book and my back aching. Artoria. I finally got the name of the woman I had been dreaming about all my life. So why did I feel pain instead of comfort the moment that man said her name?
I could only hear peaceful breathing beside me as Mason slept deeply. It definitely seemed that he needed a good rest. Pulling out my phone from my pocket, I checked the time to see that it was 6AM. Wow, I am getting really good at waking up when I don't want to. I closed my book and put it back on the nightstand before stretching and ever so slowly sneaking out. The boy definitely needed sleep and I don't want to be on the receiving end of someone who has trouble waking up in the morning. Been there with Gwen. The girl is literally one of the sweetest girls on the planet, but wake her up before her alarm and all hell breaks loose. I kid you not, she gave me one of the coldest glares.
I am an avid believer of six to eight hours of non-stop sleep. I do not believe that three hours of sleep would suffice, but here I am feeling refreshed for some reason.
