~~~~~~ It was a beautiful summer afternoon, Trissa and her siblings sat outside the great hall and listened to the sound of nature! Their father, Uhtred and their mother, Gisela, went to get some fresh herbs! So in Coccham were remaining: Trissa, Stiorra, young Uhtred, Sihtric and Finan! Trissa, Sihtric and Finan were the bestest of friends and the two of them were like her big brothers! She loved them to death and couldn't imagine a life without them! When evening came and Uhtred and Gisela were back, Trissa helped her mother cook dinner! She loved cooking with her mother and Gisela loved, spending time with her oldest child! When they finished cooking, Gisela handed each of the boys a plate and then she went to prepare some bread for her youngest children... ~~~~~~
Uhtred:"Gisa, sit down and let the two rascals eat some stew too!...(*Gisela shook her head*)...how do you mean 'no'? Stiorra and Uhtred are not 3 years old anymore, Gisa, they can eat stew!" Gisela:(*she sighed*)"You said the same thing 2 weeks ago and then your youngest daughter almost choked on a potato!...(*Trissa stifled her laughter*)...besides, they have clearly said that they don't like stew! So why should I force them to eat a plate of it?" Uhtred:"So that they learn that not everything always works the way they want it to!...(*Gisela rolled her eyes*)...Tris, would you mind fetching two plates for me?" Trissa:(*she shook her head*)"No, but what do you need the plates for?...(*she tilted her head*)...anything special you want to do with the plates?" Sihtric:"Maybe he wants to throw the plates at Finan so that he finally stops smacking!...(*Gisela and Trissa laughed*)...brother, I love you but your eating habits are a disaster!" Finan:(*he rolled his eyes*)"Why don't you just concentrate on your food and leave me alone?...(*Sihtric sighed*)...you've been pissing me off for days!" Trissa:"You are behaving like little children!...(*Sihtric and Finan went quiet*)...eat your stew, get along again and that's it!"
~~~~~~ Uhtred and Gisela looked at each other and grinned! They were extremely proud of their eldest child and they showed it at every opportunity! Trissa was Coccham's light! She was pure, friendly, funny and brave...just like her father and mother! Everyone in Coccham loved her and the people respected her for who she was! And Trissa did everything to make sure, that the people in Coccham were fine and wanted for nothing! After they finished eating, Sihtric and Finan went outside to take care of their horses, whilst Trissa took care of the washing up! Uhtred and Gisela took Stiorra and young Uhtred to bed, but soon joined Trissa in washing the plates and mugs! It wasn't a busy day, but the boys had just fought in a battle and that was in their bones! Trissa understood pretty well, that her father and his men were tired, and that's why she did all the work, that needed to be done... ~~~~~~
Trissa:"Father, I want you to rest now! You and mother can go to bed, I'll finish this!...(*Uhtred smiled at her*)...tomorrow, you, Sihtric and Finan can help me again, okay?" Uhtred:(*he nodded*)"Agreed, my darling!...(*Trissa smiled back*)...I am very proud of you! It's not natural that you do all this alone, just so that me, Sihtric and Finan can rest...we appreciate it very much!" Gisela:"And we want you to know that we love you more than anything!...(*they hugged*)...you are our baby and we want you to be well! So when you're done here, it's off to bed!" Trissa:(*she laughed*)"I love you both more than anything too!...(*she looked at Uhtred*)...I see it as a matter of course to take work from one's parents and one's father's men!" Uhtred:"You are the best version of me and mother!...(*he kissed Trissa's forehead*)...good night, my darling! I love you!" Trissa:(*she tilted her head*)"Good night, father! I love you too!...(*he disappeared*)...and of course I love you as well, mother!" Gisela:"I am reassured!...(*they laughed*)...good night, my sweet darling! I love you!"
~~~~~~ And with that being said, Gisela disappeared as well! The next morning: Uhtred was the first to wake up, so he decided to prepare breakfast! Around 2 hours later, the others were awake as well and then they could finally eat! After they finished eating their breakfast, Stiorra and young Uhtred wanted Trissa to teach them, how to use a sword! Gisela and Uhtred only chuckled about their younger children's intrusiveness and it got even funnier, when Trissa rolled her eyes and shot each of them a warning look! After a little while of ‚no, I am not gonna teach you', Trissa eventually gave in and went outside with her two siblings... ~~~~~~
Trissa:"The first rule in handling the sword is that you have inner peace!...(*Stiorra looked at young Uhtred*)...and since neither of you own that, I really wonder why we're doing this at all!" Stiorra:(*she tilted her head*)"Tris, come on, we want to learn how to use the sword and we couldn't think of anyone better to teach than you!...(*Trissa slightly smiled*)...so...you gonna teach us now?" Trissa:"But only on the condition that you don't hurt each other with it!...(*young Uhtred sighed*)...because I know very well that this was your plan!" young Uhtred:(*he rolled his eyes*)"Tris, seriously, do you think we are that stupid?...(*Tris scratched her head*)...I'll tell father and mother about it!"
~~~~~~ And with that being said, he turned around and disappeared! Moments later Trissa and Stiorra bursted out laughing...he was so damn funny when he was angry! After young Uhtred left, Trissa taught Stiorra some skills with the sword and the little girl was learning fast! When evening came, Trissa and Stiorra returned to the great hall and ate dinner together with the others! Young Uhtred was still mad at Trissa and she found it amusing...just like Uhtred and Gisela! Sihtric and Finan just laughed at young Uhtred's facial expressions every time Trissa said something - it was hilarious! The evening passed and night came faster than anyone expected, so they all went to bed and hoped, that the night would be calm and nothing would wake them up, but young Uhtred had other plans... ~~~~~~
