"Girl I don't know why Jb playing with me like he can't lose me!".
Finishing the last touches on her clients face Liyah couldn't help but overhear the conversation being had on the side of her.
"Girl what that nigga do now?". Gina asked popping her gum after. "What don't that yellow ass nigga do! He call himself getting mad at me over some stupid shit so he claims he not fucking with me no more. I ain't even do shit though, some weird ass nigga messaged him being messy and now he in his feelings". She explained kissing her teeth after.
"Well you know Jb bitch , his attitude is horrendous! You know that nigga don't go for nothing, girl I don't even know why you waste time on his evil ass". Gina goes on to say earning a few amens.
"Fuck yall saying amen for , yall don't know my nigga like that ! He just misunderstood".
"Misunderstood my ass". Gina mumbled. Looking over at them Gina shook her head curling the last piece of hair on the woman's head.
Scanning over her appearance Liyah couldn't help but notice how pretty she was, she definitely could be a model.
"Can I help you?" She mugged her causing Liyah to furrow her eyebrows.
Turning her head she sprayed setting spray on her clients face ignoring her. Yes she's cute but her attitude is ugly.
"All done". She smiled handing the young girl a mirror, this particular client was attending her first homecoming so they went for a soft beat, she wanted to keep it age appropriate.
"Omg Liyah I love it ! It's so flawless!". She cheesed showing off her pink braces. "I'm glad you do pretty girl, make sure to tag me in your pictures when you post them". Standing up from the chair she handed her the folded money she had in her hand.
"I definitely will! See you!". Giving her a side hug Liyah waved one last time as she hurried out of the salon.
"So happy to be done". She mumbled to myself as she began to clean her station off.
Working as a full time make up artist was something but she can't complain. She was finally doing what she loved and she couldn't be more grateful.
Liyah went from working 9 to 5 to becoming her own boss. She had only been doing it for five years and she can honestly say she's accomplished so much.
