"Alright fat man we got a special visitor". Jah held Jonah in his arms as he looked over the guest room one more time.

Hearing the doorbell ring his heart thumped as he made his way down the stairs. So many emotions went through his body as he inched towards the door.

Slowly opening the door he was met by that familiar warming smile which broke him down.

"Jah stop before you make me cry". Mary wrapped him up in a hug, using his free arm he tightly wrapped it around her bending down to rest his head on hers.

"I-I'm so sorry". He weeped feeling guilty at the fact that he hasn't called or checked in on Mary in a year, he knew that it was wrong but his hurt wouldn't allow him to admit it.

"Come on baby let's talk, you know I'm not mad at you". He pulled away in which she leaned up and wiped his tears before glancing over at Jonah.

"Oh my Lord! He looks just like you and Carla !". Mary fanned her eyes while reaching out for Jonah.

Jah handing him over to her in which he laid his head on her shoulder comfortably. "Aww! He's sweet as pie, you too were like this when you were younger". Mary says as they walked into the living room taking a seat on the couch.

"I was wondering where he got his friendliness from". Jah chuckled resting his elbows on his knees.

"Where's Liyah ? It's quiet in here". Jah cleared his throat while rubbing the back of his neck.

"She's at a hair appointment". Meeting eyes with Mary she examined his face before furrowing her eyebrows. "Jah what happened to your forehead?". Reaching over she softly rubbed the bruise on his face.

"We got into it". He admitted making Mary's eyes widened. "W-what, you guys were putting hands on each other ?! What in the world is going on ?".

"I didn't put my hands on her, I mean I pushed her but it was out of reflexes because she slapped me. Long story short I was in this tattoo class and it was a woman in there who would sit next to me tryna make small talk and stuff, she ended up having troubles with her car as I was leaving and I felt like I had to help her, like I would be a bad person if I left her stranded. I take her home but before that I had to pick Jonah up from daycare in which she was with me. I take her home realized she was living in a bad neighborhood so not only did I give her money to fix her car but to move into a decent neighborhood. I gave her a wad of cash so I didn't know exactly how much was in it.

Fast forward yesterday the daycare teacher said she saw Liyah in the car with me but it wasn't possible because she was in Detroit with her dad, then when she was getting her hair done the woman was in there bragging about what I did and lying saying it was more than what it was. Liyah came home and lashed out on me and well here we are". Jah ran down the events from last night feeling terrible all over again.
