Three weeks later
Today was Jah's release day and also Dewayne's last day with Liyah. She had mentally prepared herself for caring for two people, she tried not to stress about the fact that she wouldn't have much help.
But this was her man and their baby so she was going get through it.
"I'm going to miss having you around daddy". Liyah sniffed as she held on to him as they were parked in front of the airport entrance.
"So am I sweetheart, the month I've spent with you and my grandson has been amazing. But your old man has business to take care of back at home. I'll be back for Thanksgiving and Christmas." Giving him a small nod as he kissed her forehead, Liyah pulled away as Jonah became fussy.
"Gpop will see you later buddy". Dewayne kissed the top of Jonah's head earning a smile.
"Okay I don't want you to miss your flight, call me as soon as you land."
"I definitely will do that, I love you".
"I love you too daddy". It warmed her heart hearing those words as if he hasn't been saying it already.
Saying their final goodbyes Liyah strapped Jonah into his car seat securely before getting into the truck.
It didn't take long for her to get to the hospital. She waited for them to wheel Jah out since she couldn't go get him herself.
Seeing the nurse wheel him outside Liyah quickly got out the car to open up the passenger door.
"Emin stop frowning". Jah kissed his teeth as he stood up walking over to the truck.
"Thank you". She thanked the nurse as she closed his door.
"Man I'm so happy to be out of this motherfucka, I'll never been in here for some shit like this again". Jah grumbled slightly reclining his seat.
"Yeah you better not ! You lucky I can't hit you scaring me half to death like that". Liyah started the truck.
"Yeah what-". Jah was cut off by Jonah's whimpering.
Looking in the back of the truck his face soften as he seen his son through the mirror Liyah had hanging on the headrest of the backseat.
He tried to not let his emotions get the best of him as he stared at his son. He was his literal twin, his son stole his whole face.
"I know JoJo, mommy is going to feed you as soon as we get home". Liyah softly spoke to him as she drove.
"This shit crazy". Jah says never taking his eyes off of Jonah. "What?". Liyah questioned glancing over at him.
