Day: August 10, 2012

About a month later, Jason King and his partner -and mentor, Edward Williamson were doing paperwork when a 10-year-old boy named Thomas O'Sullivan walked up to them.

Thomas had dark brown hair, dark brown eyes, light skin, and had long, slender arms and long, slender, veiny legs and was unusually tall for his age and had graduated around a month ago from training. Being around tall people like Edward and Thomas made Jason feel short. But than again, Jason was 4'11 while Edward was 5'4 and Thomas was 5'2.

"What do you want Thomas?" Edward asked, not looking up from what he was doing. "Ms. Kelly wants you two." He said. "She wanted to send me and James, but James and I are trying to figure out Zayne Dread." "Good luck Thomas. You'll need it. Zayne is a tough one." Edward replied darkly. "Let's go Jason." "Coming." Jason replied, pushing his glasses up.

When they walked into Kelly's office, they found the resident scientist, Eli, standing beside her. Jason racked his brain and remembered that Oliver wanted to get revenge on some cousin he had named Eli Beckett. Maybe it's the scientist? Jason wondered.

Eli had curly dark brown hair, dark brown eyes that looked black, dark skin, and was just barely taller and wider than Jason with not much muscle.

"Someone has broken into Hannah Cooper's house. I'm sending you two and Eli to go investigate." Kelly said, getting right to business. "Now GO! I have way too many reports of suspicious individuals. Edward, can you grab Robert and Emma? I want them to investigate Crimson's most recent murder." "Yes ma'am." Edward replied before leaving the office. "You two head to the car waiting outside." Kelly instructed. "Eli, you have money with you, right?" "Four hundred bucks." Eli replied.

It didn't take long for Edward to return and the three of them got inside the car. Eli paid ahead of time and gave the man a hundred-fifty. Jason felt a little awkward being squished in between two people. Usually he sat where Eli was sitting, but today he was in the middle.

"It's a little weird being sent on a mission with three people, huh Jason?" Eli asked, attempting to make conversation. "A little. But I'll get used to it." Jason replied, not meeting Eli's gaze. Jason then yawned.

"Didn't get a lot of sleep last night night, huh?" Eli asked, raising an eyebrow. "Not really, no." Jason replied, sleepily. Eli shifted and pulled Jason closer. "You can nap on me. I'll wake you up when we get there." Eli said, gently stroking Jason's arm.

Jason didn't reply, but yawned instead and it didn't take long for him to fall asleep.

Jason dreamt of a boy sitting across from him with a campfire in between them. "Nighttime is amazing, right Jason?" He asked. "Sure?" Jason replied, awkwardly. Why was his voice so deep all of a sudden? "How's your throat?" The boy asked. "I-It's fine." Jason said. "Are you sure? You sound a little hoarse." The boy said, walking around the campfire to sit next to him.

The boys golden blond hair flew in the wind, making him seem majestic and hypnotic. His hazel eyes started glowing in the darkness and Jason became entranced. His eyes were spiralling in different colors, making Jason feel so much more tired than he already was. The fire became blurry and eventually replaced by pretty spirals covering every inch of Jason's vision except for the boy making them.

"You can sleep safely here Jason." The boy said soothingly. He gently and soothingly caressed the side of Jason's face, making him feel so much better and so much more relaxed than he did a second ago. Jason loved the sound of his voice ringing in his ears. It made him feel relaxed.
