Kelly Smith was taking a midnight walk on March 2, 2002 when she thought she heard a baby cry. She brushed her dark brown hair out of her face and hid behind a nearby tree. She heard footsteps. "We can't just leave them here!" The woman was saying. "We'll take Victor and leave Jason here. You know I don't want quadruplets." The man replied.
The man looked serious and the woman gave in, deciding that two children were better than none. "Fine. We'll leave Jason here and take Victor." She said, brushing her black hair out of her face, just as Kelly had did not too long before. They grabbed one of the two babies and Kelly felt relieved. The baby she was assigned to get and bring back to the agency was safe.
Slowly, Kelly came out from her hiding place and pushed her black rectangle glasses up so she could see Jason better. She bent down and removed the blanket from the babies face and saw that he was fast asleep. "Don't worry little one." She whispered, gently taking the baby from the basket. "You'll make a fine agent."
Suddenly, there was a crack in the distance. Deciding to not risk it, Kelly put the baby back into the blanket, took him with the blanket, and ran back to the agency to which she belonged.
