Four Years Later

I grab my head in pain. A young girl with purple hair keeps appearing in my mind. I can't get her out of my head. I don't even know who she is.

I walk down the hall, the sound of my heels clicking echoes. I scan my badge on the side as a click sounds. I open the doors and continue to my office.

I sit down to look at the new files on my desk. None of these super powered humans seems much of a priority until I get to the last one.

A knock on my door pulls my eyes from the file. I smile, twisting my pen.

"I'm so glad you decided to do this."

I wasn't sure Sam would show up. I gave her a couple weeks to think about joining since she turned twenty one.

She's gone on plenty of missions with me as Superwoman and Supergirl but this is a different territory. We have rules we need to go by. Not that I really follow them.

Neither of us are too keen on rules but it keeps the people of this planet safe from super powered humans.

I brought up the idea of forming a new sector of the FBI that focused on super powered individuals. Congress loved it.

We specialize in super powered humans ranging from mutants to witches to even a few werewolves. Most of which are kept out of the media.

My Superwoman suit hasn't been put to much use since I joined. I've let my father and Sam take over that.

"So, does this mean you're my boss?"

"Is that a dealbreaker?"

"Kinda." She says. "You're my boss here and at home?"

I roll my eyes. I stand up, walking towards my door.

"Follow me." We walk down the hall, all eyes on us. "Us Kent's have a big reputation with who our father is."

After Jon's death my father made the decision to reveal his identity to the world. It was the last thing we did as a family.

Now the whole world knows Clark Kent is Superman and that I'm Superwoman. And of course Sam is Supergirl.

"Right.. I'll just be compared to the great Superwoman."

"You will not be compared to me."

"Your mother was Wonder Woman and your father is Superman."

"We have the same dad."

"You know what I mean.."

Since my birth I was long considered to be the most powerful being on the planet with one parent as the Son of Krypton and the other the Princess of Themyscira.

I pull down my sleeves to hide the new bangles Hippolyta made for me to be able to wear at all times.

"You don't have to do this. I asked you because I trust you, and I love you, Sam." I whisper. "It can be a lot."

"It gets boring at the house with Megan talking about her dumb ass classes."

She shrugs. I show her around the building before bringing her to my superiors office for final paperwork. Sam is assigned to my team, as I thought she'd be.

I go back to my office to look through the rest of that file. I usually don't take attachments to past assailants but this person has plagued my dreams for four years.

"Perez!"

Only a few seconds go by when I see the tanned skin of Priscilla Perez. She's been my right hand woman since the start of this department.

"Emma Frost is on the loose again?"

"Nobody wanted to tell you.."

"I need to see the footage of her breaking out."

I follow her out of my office, looking down the hall at a bunch of agents watching the tv. I stop at Priscilla's desk.

She pulls up the footage of Emma breaking out of the temporary facility we had her in. I thought it would work until we freed up space at another mutant prison.

"Wait.. look."

I point to a guard in the corner. It's very subtle but he hands Emma something.

"Fuck me.. she had inside men there!" I snap. "I need every single one of those fucking guards interrogated."

I start to walk back to my office, the sound of chatter pulling me away. I walk down the hall to the small living space we have a tv, couch and kitchen.

"What's all the commotion?"

"Robin was seen in Detroit!"

"Robin?"

I push past some of them to get a look at the tv. My stomach completely drops seeing Dick on the screen.

And then there's my head again. I grab it, slowly walking to my office. I shut the door, leaning against it before sliding to the ground.

"Get out of my head!"

"Rachel!"

Suddenly the pain stops. I take a few deep breaths. This girl is calling for me and I don't know who she is but I know she needs my help.

I stand up, grabbing my jacket from the coat rack. I speed out of the building and fly to the location I saw in my head. I land on the ground, snow filling my heels.

"These were new fucking shoes."

The snow in Minnesota isn't as bad right now. Sidewalks are pretty clear which means I won't ruin my shoes. And now they're ruined because I wasn't paying attention.

I stare at a burned part of the building. Officers and firemen flood the place.

"Ma'am this is an active crime-" I turn around and he stops talking. "I-I'm sorry."

I show my badge.

"Agent Lara Kent. Can you run me through what happened here?"

"Are you here because of that woman?"

"What woman?"

"Witnesses say a tall woman with pink hair? Saw her burn the place."

"So, you're telling me a super human did this?"

"Is that not why you're here?"

"Yeah.." I point to the main part of the gas station "I'm gonna look through footage."

I walk towards the empty gas station. I make my way to the office. It's very unorganized.

I sit down at the desk. I go through footage up until it happened. I pull out a small gadget, putting it on the laptop.

The footage loads onto it as I grab it. I look around the office more before I leave.

"Lara?"

My whole body freezes. I'm scared to look at the door where I see a pair of feet.
