I look around for any sign of Rachel. I don't hear or see her anywhere.

"Anything?"

"Nothing. I don't use my magic often since- but I think that's what is drawing me to her."

"I thought you were Kryptonian?"

I look at Kory.

"Half but also half Amazonian. And the magic part is a bit complicated."

"What is it, Lar?"

"I couldn't read her mind. I can read everyones but it's like there was a wall kicking me out."

I look at Dick.

"Go to the police station."

I fly into the sky. I look around, trying to listen for Rachel but I hear nothing. I land in front of the police station just as Dick pulls up. I walk towards the door as an officer holds the door open for me.

"Thank you."

I look over my shoulder as the officer doesn't hold it open for Dick. He quickly catches up pace with me as everyone turns to look at me.

"Like always.. look at the pretty girl."

"Oh, Dick, you could be a pretty girl too."

He shakes his head and laughs. We both walk towards the front desk. I hold up my badge.

"Lara Kent? I'll be damned."

"I need information on a girl."

Dick hands him the photo of Rachel.

"It's my sisters kid. Ran away."

"Got a report on this. Hunter shot himself. Said something about a tiger in the woods with a girl with purple hair like this."

"I'm sorry did you just say tiger?" I look at the officer confused.

"A green one." He laughs. "He was drunk."

"Can I get this hunters address?"

He gives us the address with no issue. We walk out together. I get into the back seat because I have shorter legs than Kory.

"So, what's the deal with you two?"

"No deal."

"Nothing."

"Mhm."

I know leaving the way I did stung for Dick. I mean why wouldn't it? I left without any sign. I left my engagement ring and a note on our nightstand.

I'd recognize the box it came in like the back of my hand. Acid comes up my throat just thinking about the box being in the glove department. I don't know why he'd keep it in his car. Or why he'd keep it at all because of the memories that come with it.

The car stops. Dick pulls up his seat for me to get out. Another foot full of snow. I grimace at the contact.

"Gonna need a new pair."

"Shut up."

I take the lead to the door. I knock, a man opening it with his hand against the wall.

"What do you want?"

"Is that how you talk to guests?" Dick and I hold up our badges. "We actually need to talk to you about the girl you saw in the woods."

"What?"

This guy has mad attitude.

"Did she say anything? Did you see where she went?"

Dick's going full on protective mode.
