Regina's POV

Before I'd met Robin I hadn't beleived in 'true love' or 'soulmates' or anything of that nature. I believed in love, sure, but not to that degree. My mind and heart had been hardened and sealed off from such idea's when my first love, Daniel was killed in bank robbery and I was severaly injured. The men had slit his throat and forced me to watch, and then they had stabbed me, causing me to lose the baby I was carrying and lose the ability to have another child. The pain had nearly destoryed me, and if it wasn't for my twin sister, Snow, and our best friend Emma, it would have.

I closed out everyone for years, and when I was ready to socialize again, only Snow and Emma were ready to forgive and forget. Their boyfriends were unsure how to react to my cold deminor, and our group grew, lessening the attention on me to my releif. A girl named Red with a strange love for wolves joined us, along with a sweet girl names Belle who saw good in everyone, and her rough-around-the-edges boyfriend, Rumpel who we mostly called Mr. Gold.

We were all in our late twentys, and Snow and David were married wtih a baby, Emma and Killian-who we called Hook-were married as well. Red was dating someone named Frank Whale, Belle and Gold were deeply in love, married and despratly trying for children. I wanted a child too, but it was impossible for me to conceive.

So I decided to adopt, thinking it would help fill the hole in my life. A boy named Henry who was 11 years old was recomended. He had a family until recently when they had been taken away from him for no clear reason. So I adopted him. We bonded quickly, he became my son, and we discovered that Emma was his birth mother who gave him up at birth because she didn't think he would have a good life with her. This caused some tension but it quickly disapated when Henry said we were both his mothers. So it became an inside joke about his two mothers.

Then one day, at the park, I was watching Henry run around with Grace Hatter, his best friend. A shriek echoed in my ears and I was quickly running over. A young boy, maybe four years old, was struggling to get away from a scruffy old man trying to drag him to the parking lot.

"Hey!" I called, running over to help, "Let him go!" The man looked up and saw me, a can of pepper spay in one hand and my tall, lethil build combined with my sirious features accented by my dark hair at shoulder leangth made me look like a force to be reconed with, matching my sass and temper and he immidiatly froze.

He jumped away from the boy and ran. I walked over, and said to the boy, "Hey, I'm Regina, are you okay?" He nodded and said in a cute lisp, "I'm Roland. He was trying to take me." I nodded and said, "It's okay, he's gone now. How old are you Roland?" He looked like he was thinking before he held up three fingers and said, "Four." I smiled at him and said, "Wow. Your so big. Can you tell me where your mommy or daddy is?" He said with a pout and watery eyes, "I lost my daddy. I don't have a mommy. Can you help me look for my daddy?" I nodded and said, "What does your daddy look like?" He said, "He's really big. Taller than you. He has light brown hair and really pretty blue eyes. He always has pretty ladies coming up to him and asking him to play. He never says yes though, I think he thinks girls are icky." I chuckled and looked around. I saw three men who fit his discription. Pointing across the park to a man on his phone, I asked, "Is that him?" He shook his head and said, "My daddy doedn't wear fancy clothes." I looked over and said, "What about him?"

He looked at the man who was talking franticly to a woman pushing her kid on the swings.

Roland smiled and said Exictedly, "Yep. Daddy!" He ran over to the man, and I followed a little behind. The man span to see Roland, releif flooding his face. He picked him up and asked me kindly, "Who are you?" Roland said, "That's Regina daddy. A bad man was trying to take me away and she stopped him, then she helped me find you. She's my hero!" I blushed as the man smiled and said, "Thank you so much. Perhaps I could treat us all to icecream as thanks?" I nodded and said, "Just let me get my son." He nodded and I walked off.

I chuckled at the memory, and Robin looked at me from where he sat across the table at the resturant. We were engaged and decided to go out tonight, leaving a 14 year old Henry to watch Roland.

"What?" Robin asked. I smiled and told him, "I'm remembering how we met." He nodded and said with a laugh, "When I first saw you, I thought you were an angel. Roland sort of proved it when he told me you saved him." We talked some more until our waitress waltzed up. We'd been here for over half an hour and she hadn't even given us our menus. She handed us our menus, and took our drink orders. Glaring at me and fluttering her eyelashes at Robin.

He ignored her and she left. For the entire meal she flirted with him and was rude to me. When the check came she made her move and said, "Hey baby. Why are you with her?" He looked over and said, "She's my fiance." She rolled her eyes and said so only I could hear, "For now." Then she started flirting with him non stop.

I finally had enough as Robin handed her the payment and snapped, "What is wrong with you?! It is your job to wait on us as we eat, not flirt with the man I am going to marry and repeatedly try to spill my food on me!" I stood, my tall, thin body with curves in all the right place's making her whimper in intimidation.

"You will shut your trap and stay the hell away from him unless he or I speak to you first. If you say anything rude to us or try to flirt with Robin again I will report you to the manager and do everything in my power to get you fired."

She nodded and left as we gathered our things and waited for her to come back with his credit card. Robin moved behind me and wound his arms around my waist. He whispered in my ear and said in an amused tone, "You have no idea how sexy that was. Your hot when your jealous." I laughed and we left after retreiving the card.
