Ivan's POV
I returned from my early morning run, my breath still slightly heavy as I entered our living area. Running has always been my sanctuary, a way to clear my mind and prepare for the day ahead. As I walked in, I noticed Nathan waiting for me, a serious expression etched across his face.
"Nathan," I greeted him, my tone stern, "What is it?"
Nathan hesitated for a moment before he began, "I need to talk to you about something important. It's about the Omega you placed in my care."
My gaze locked onto Nathan, my demeanor unwavering. "Go on," I urged him.
He continued, "Well, we were eating dinner after dinner service last night, and Sebastian had asked about his past. He spent most of his life in a facility. He tenses up when he tries to talk about it; there are secrets about that place that he's afraid to share."
My brows furrowed with concern. "What kind of facility?"
Nathan explained, "We don't know all the details yet, but it seems like the facility was involved in some kind of experimentation. They did something to him, something that turned him into one of us?"
"You think he was scientifically turned?" I asked, shocked.
"I'm not sure yet; it's just a speculation."
I mulled over this new information, my expression thoughtful. "We can't ignore this; the pack's safety comes first, but don't press him too hard."
Nathan nodded, his face full of worry but understanding, "I'll do my best. My group will take good care of him; he's a good boy, sweet and kind. But let's keep in mind that he's been through a lot."
I understand the delicate balance we needed to get more information, "I understand, Nathan; proceed with caution, but keep me informed. Thank you for bringing this to my attention." As we parted ways, my mind raced with questions and concerns. The new arrival to our pack has brought forth a complex mystery with him.
The day moved on, and I immersed myself in pack duties. There was always something to be done, whether patrolling the borders or addressing various concerns within the community. Our pack was a complex web of interactions, and I took my responsibilities seriously.
As the sun began its descent in the sky, casting long shadows across the pack's territory, I headed towards the Alpha's office to tell him about what Nathan had told me. The information about the new Omega and the facility weighed heavily on my mind, making it all I could think about.
Approaching the Alpha's office, I knock on the door before being told to enter. Alpha Philip sat at a dark cherry oak desk; his gaze focused on the stacks of paperwork before him. He barely looked up, acknowledging my presence.
"Alpha," I began, my tone serious and respectful. "There's something I need to discuss with you."
Sighing an annoyed sigh, he sets his pen down and rubs his eyes. He gestured for me to sit, and I took a seat across from him. I proceeded to tell him what Nathan had told me; even though the information wasn't a lot, it was still worth sharing. He listened intently. His expression grew increasingly stern and annoyed. He drummed his fingers on the table, clearly not pleased with the news.
"So not only is this boy an Omega," he remarked, his tone edged with irritation, "but he's grown up in a scientific facility?"
"From what Nathan has told me, he suspects that the boy was made into one of us."
Alpha Philip leaned back in his chair, his brow furrowed in thought. "This is a rather complicated situation. If he's been subjected to experiments, it could have unpredictable consequences."
