"Dad I'm gay."
Thus surely isn't the way I wanted to come out but I was tired and I just had to say it.
As I had come out the room fell silent. That was until my dad spoke.
"I'm sorry but what did you say?" My dad asks me with an upset tone.
Ofcourse I knew he wouldn't take it well but I had no choice. I can't stand all these unnecessary hook ups.
Especially when this dinner was planned for me to get engaged.
"I said that I'm gay dad, I'm not attracted to females which is why I can't date Rosé." I say as my dad just stays silent.
"Mmm well that is a problem but it's alright, I do hope you find your special person." Mr Park says with a smile and I nod.
"Thank you sir." I say with a smile.
To be honest I had expected Mr Park to kick us out of his mansion or be disgusted with me but the man was simply ok with it.
I was both greatful and relieved.
This surely should put Rosé at ease knowing his dad is nowhere near homophobic.
I mean if he can accept me, a complete stranger, surely he'll except his daughter as well.

After sometime my dad and his boss had talked about cancelling the proposal.
Ofcourse it took a while for Mr Park to get my dad's agreement on it, since he was being stubborn about it, he settled with the decision.
Once the two had finished with thier conversation we began to leave the dining area, making our way out of the mansion.
"You did a really great job standing up for yourself, although I know you didn't want to come out to your dad this way." Rosé says as she is currently accompanying me out of the mansion.
"Yeah but I had to come out at some point but thank you for being my number one supporter in all this. You better come out to your dad, judging by how he reacted with me coming out of the closet I'm sure he'll accept you as well." I say with a small smile as she nods.
"Your right, I'll definitely come out to him one of these days, maybe even introduce him to Jisoo." She says happily and I smile.
"Trust me he will accept the both of you." I say with a reassuring smile.
"Well I hope to see you soon, hopefully not at a forced dinner date." She jokes and I laugh.
"Yeah definitely, I better go then, goodbye." I say as I wave to her and she does the same with a bright smile on her face.
I then walk towards my dad's car and I can tell he is definitely pissed.
I enter the car and buckle my seat belt as he starts up the engine and begins to drive.
The drive was dead silent, this time a lot of tension had filled the air.
The weather too had changed.
The once were gloomy clouds had turned into a darker shade of grey as bolt's of lightning shot through the clouds.
With the sudden weather and the intense situation I'm currently in had me feeling extremely anxious.
Ofcourse I knew I shouldn't have just come out just like that.
I knew all to well it was a terrible idea but I did it anyway.
