There Wanda sat, her favourite person beside. Their backs against the couch, eyes intently following The Dick Van Dyke Show playing before them. Wanda was reminded how much she loved these evenings - just the four of them together. Feeling a weight on her shoulder, Wanda tore her eyes from the screen to her now asleep Brother resting there. She turned to face her parents on the couch behind her, her mother smiled back at her. Her Father pointed to the screen and nodded at Wanda, who looked just time to not miss her favourite part.

Wanda's laughter stirred her brother, "Wanda, I was sleeping!"

"And I was trying to watch but you were snoring!"

"Do not argue with your brother, Wanda."

Wanda turned to try and appeal to her mother, "But I-.", but destiny had other plans - a bomb screeching through the ceiling.

~~~~~
Wanda jumped awake with her ears still ringing, she strained fruitlessly at her bonds as a HYDRA agent entered the room, stopping only when the agent tugged her hair back and leaned in close.
"Welcome to HYDRA, Dr L/N."
"I, what?"
"HYDRA Doctor, we have worked in the shadows since the beginning of civilization."
"You have the wrong person I'm no-"
"We know exactly who you are, Stark's top employee, you have the ear of the Avengers and so you are here to tell us what you know." The agent said, pulling another chair forward to sit a little too close to Wanda, "We do not wish to hurt you Doctor, we desire only the truth. HYDRA does not tolerate lies."
"But why m-" Wanda started only to get a harsh slap for her troubles.
"Why you? Were you not listening? You remain here, until we have our answers, then... who's to say, I'm just following orders from the Boss."
"And who might that be?" Wanda spat out.
"You already know the answer to that one, Y/N. Family's always closer than you think."
"Right." The agent said, clapping his hands together and standing. "How about some motivation?" He added unclipping a walkie talkie for his belt. "Bring it in."
~~~~~

Wanda jolted awake, shaking with adrenaline, she tore her gaze around the room, eventually falling on Y/N's form huddled in the opposite corner. "Babe?"

They looked up, meeting Wanda's eyes, she'd never seen them look so afraid.

"Y/N?" Wanda asked again, moving to get up.

"Stop! Don't come any closer."

"Y/N, it's alright I just wanna help you." Wanda said, padding closer to her partner.

"No, it's not alright! You don't understand."

"Then explain it to me, detka." Wanda said, sitting down in front of Y/N.

"I can't, not when I don't even understand, everything is just so messy, I can't clear my head of it.".

"I'm here for you, Y/N." Wanda spoke softly, reaching out to hold Y/N's hands. "Always."

Wanda shuffled up next to Y/N and there the two sat for a while, allowing their dreamt-up fears time to fade.

It was Y/N who broke the peace, and Wanda couldn't deny her relief at hearing her partner speak again, "Can we go back to bed, I don't think I can sleep but I."

Wanda leaned in and kissed Y/N's forehead, "Of course, I won't be doing much sleeping either right now." Wanda joked, smiling when Y/N laughed, albeit with tears in their eyes.

Helping Y/N to their feet, Wanda took their hand and led them back over to the bed. As soon as Wanda was laying back down, Y/N pulled themselves in close, a closeness that they both needed right now. Wanda knew that Y/N clearly needed more help than she could offer, help from someone trained to do such.

"Y/N?" Wanda asked, an edge of unsureness to her voice.

"Mmhm?" Y/N mumbled into her side.

"Do you think you should see someone, a therapist I mean?"

Y/N sighed, and for a moment Wanda worried she had overstepped. "I probably should, I really thought this would've all gone away by now." They said, gesturing to nothing. "Maybe I could ask the team for recommendations."

Wanda was surprised that Y/N had suggested bringing it up in front of the team. Even if they didn't believe so, Wanda could see that her partner's confidence had come a long way since they first meet.

"I'm sure they would be more than happy to help, maybe talk to them at the meeting tomorrow?"

"The Avengers meeting? Not sure I'll be invited to that one Wanda."

"I'm sure I can convince Steve to make an exception, or we can just do it after."

"What's the meeting about?"

"Not sure, but we're going to Nigeria. Lagos, I think."

Agent Anderson was busily preparing a memo for his boss on the results of the organisation's most important mission. The recapture of Doctor Y/N L/N & asset Wanda Maximoff. He was so engrossed in getting the memo out that he didn't notice his boss walk up to his desk.

"Agent Anderson."

Anderson jumped, standing as soon as he released it was his boss who had spoken. "Yes Sir?"

"What progress have we made on Operation Rupture?"

"Two of our Agents continue to carry out reconnaissance on Avengers Tower, neither have made direct contact as you requested."

"Good, who have we got there?"

"Agent McKenzie and Agent Rivers, here are their files." Anderson said, opening a desk drawer and pulling out two manilla folders.

"Ah paper files. Nothing beats the old ways. Though these things were easier to categorise when we were in SHIELD." The boss said skimming through the files. "Agent Sophie McKenzie, 32 year old former SHIELD Specialist turned HYDRA Recon Operative. Ah so she was an undercover HYDRA plant at The Hub. Captured by Coulson's team when we failed to take the Hub during the Uprising. Then we've got Agent Matt Rivers, 27, also a HYDRA Recon Operative, born into HYDRA. He's worked in various areas including at an underground HYDRA academy in Switzerland - where he originally studied, for Quinn Worldwide, and later the Centipede program."

The boss considered all of this information for a moment before speaking again, "Call them both back to base Agent, they'll be making a full report."

~~~~~
Matt's sat phone flashed with a text, he leant over from his seat to pick it up from the table.
"Who is it?" Sophie asked, not taking her eyes away from the binoculars.
"It's the boss."
Sophie froze, if the boss wanted to see them unplanned it couldn't be good, he had a reputation.
"We're going back to base, to report in." Matt continued.
Sophie finally turned to face her partner, "Can't we do that over the phone?"
"You know he's old fashioned."
"Wonder if we're being reassigned?"
"Or worse."
