Kelly drove her car to Michelle's house. All she could think about as she drove was how much she hated her life, she hated how it turned out, and she hated the way she was living it. Kelly kept thinking about her relationship with Ciara and she kept trying to pinpoint where she went wrong. However, when she looks back at it she doesn't even remember a good chunk of her relationship with Ciara; she doesn't even premiere how they got together.

Kelly was drunk out of her mind at Beyoncé's wedding, the same place where she thinks her relationship with Ciara first began. when Kelly wasn't a heavy drinker; she hated the taste of alcohol and she hated the effects of the substance. Still, Kelly ignored her hatred of alcohol and drank herself half-blind blind. She didn't want to see the sight of the woman she truly loved kissing a woman who wasn't her; she would rather die of alcohol poisoning than bear the sight any longer.

While drinking her troubles away, Ciara approached her. She had noticed the girl drinking and felt the need to ask if she was okay. Being drunk out of her mind, Kelly spilled her guts and told the woman she couldn't even recognize all the troubles she was experiencing.

As Kelly cried, Ciara listened to the woman rant, making sure to keep a fake amused look on her face. She didn't care about anything Kelly was saying, especially when it concerned Beyoncé. Still, Ciara pretended to care about anything relating to the woman. She figured her pretending would make the conversation go smoother.

Ciara had known Kelly for years; she had known her for the same amount of years as Beyoncé had known the woman. Despite Beyoncé and Ciara's constant feud, Kelly was good friends with Ciara. Kelly's friendship was great, however, it wasn't enough for Ciara, who has always wanted to be more than just friends.

Despite Ciara's infatuation with Kelly, the woman never gave her the affection she longed for; she was too busy giving it to a woman who never returned it. Kelly's love for Beyoncé was unbeatable; everyone knew that they didn't stand a chance of getting Kelly as long as Beyoncé was involved. However, now that Beyoncé is married she is no longer involved, she is finally out of the picture. With that in mind, Ciara was determined to take the woman's place; she took Kelly's drunken state as an opening for her to do so.

Kelly doesn't remember what Ciara told her; the words she said that made Kelly go home with her were muffled. Still, Kelly remembers being walked to Ciara's car; she had agreed to let the woman take her home since she was too drunk to drive herself. She does not remember the drive nor does she remember arriving at her destination; she only remembers waking up the next morning in Ciara's arms.

"Did we have sex?"

"No, we just cuddled, don't you remember?"

"No, I don't remember anything, why am I in your house?"

"I took you home, you were drinking a lot last night. Are you okay?"

"No."

"Well, that's okay. I can make you feel better if you'd like."

"You can?"

"Yeah, I'll love you better than she ever could, you just have to let me."

Kelly was sad and she wanted to feel better. Ciara promised her that she would make her feel better and Kelly foolishly believed her. Kelly doesn't remember exactly when or how she ended up with Ciara; she never questioned it because she was just happy to be loved by someone. Ciara was nice to her, and she treated her just like she promised she would; however, she didn't make her happy, at least not the way Beyoncé did.

A month into the relationship Kelly wanted out; she wasn't happy, and she didn't want to lead Ciara to believe that she was. She made sure the woman knew that Ciara wasn't at fault for Kelly's unhappiness; it was she who just couldn't find joy within herself so she doubted that she could find joy with her. Kelly had spoken with a gentle tone, one that she hoped would lessen the blow. Unfortunately, her tone did nothing to help the situation; it only angered Ciara even more.
