Elianna

"Lando Norris seen with British YouTuber Elena Davidson walking from a café. The pair could also be spotted during the Miami GP in the paddock. We're waiting for further information, let's see if it's a new potential WAG!" I read the article out loud from Lando's phone. The picture from today was also included, and it made me shocked how it really looked like we were going out. In the picture we were walking beside each other, me looking at the ground, Lando looking at me and his hand on my back.

I handed him the phone back and arched my brows together, "First of all; they screwed up my name, rude. Second of all; I think I'm going to perish. Third of all; what the heck is a Wag?"

Lando was looking at me with raised brows, probably still calculating and thinking about whatever I just said. "Wag is a shortcut for wives and girlfriends. Basically whenever someone from the grid dates someone, the girl becomes a wag in the media spotlight."

"I'm not a Wag."

"No, you're not," he confirmed my previous statement. Unlike me, he was definitely handling this situation calmly. I was internally freaking out.

"This is exactly what I did not want to happen. This is one of the reasons why I never attended a race, because Charles warned me about it. Just because you're out with someone doesn't necessarily mean you're immediately dating for god's sake," I said furiously, rage apparent in the tone of my voice. I looked at him with regret in my eyes, "I'm so sorry about all of this, I should've just gone away—"

"No, stop it," he interrupted me with a firm voice, "I shouldn't have touched you or—that's actually pointless to think about now. I'm used to this, now the thing is, are you going to handle the pressure from social media?"

"I'd like to say that I'm sure I'll handle it, however the truth is that I'm only going to say 'I'll handle it' because I'm not sure about it," I rambled. The poor cat on my lap was watching me with his big dark eyes and I sighed, gently scratching him under his chin.

The driver beside me let out a huff before he said he will text someone who will know what to do. I opened Instagram on my phone and found out I gained over 1000 followers, even more likes and double the comments.

Some fans were that obsessed, huh.

On a lighter note, I received a text from Amanda confirming I could stay at her place for the night, which I immediately replied to with a thank you and hearts. And then I slid into my chat with Charles.

Let Lando figure it out, he'll probably know. Keep your head calm and stay focused on yourself, don't let anyone in your head

"So we're supposed to keep low and say nothing, it will fade eventually as always," Lando spoke when I put down my phone.

"As always?"

He gave me a look silently saying 'are you that surprised?' and I immediately facepalmed myself mentally. "Sorry, this is probably the nth time this happened to you and you know what to do. I forgot."

Lando only smirked at my stupidity. To avert my eyes from him, I focused on Darth on my lap. Lando then spoke, "Well since we know what to do with that, what do you want to do now?"

"I would invite you to lunch as a thank you gesture, however I don't want to add fuel to the fire so.." I shrugged, "But my friend texted me that I can stay over at hers, so I can go there."

"How about we order some lunch here so I don't feel bad not giving you anything and then you could go to your friend's place," he proposed his idea with his brows raised.

We ended up ordering salad bowls with chicken for both of us after I agreed to stay with him for lunch. Even when I insisted on paying, Lando waved me off and proceeded to pay himself.

The food arrived and we ate it in their kitchen on kitchen counters, sitting on bar stools. The kitchen was once again black and white styled, with the furniture all black with marble desk on the counters. I was half way through my meal when I already felt full.

"Enough?" Lando asked when I put down my fork.

"Yep," I nodded at him and drank my water, "Now I owe you even more."

He gave me a sheepish grin, "I'll keep that in mind, don't you worry."

After saying my goodbyes to Darth - who I grew so attached to over the last two hours - me and Lando climbed into his car, me not knowing how to open it once again so he had to open it for me, and drove to Amanda's place.

"I know I said this so many times today, but seriously thank you for everything that you did for me today," I unfastened my seatbelt and turned my face to Lando.

"It's alright," he shrugged and adjusted his sunglasses on his nose. He wore them in case someone could recognise him, not because it was sunny outside - it was actually pretty dark and cloudy.

Giving Lando a small smile, we said our goodbyes and I got out of the car. I walked to the residential bell and pressed the button with Amanda's name on it, who immediately unlocked the door for me since I texted her beforehand. I entered the door and looked behind my shoulder to find out that the certain McLaren had waited for me to enter the building and once he saw I was inside, he drove away.

Girls' days and evenings were always my favourite thing to do. Me and Amanda ordered ourselves coffee and sweet pastry since we were too lazy to go for it outside. All cuddled up in fluffy blankets on her big sofa, we were conversing about everything.

And as the late evening hit, some red wine made its way to our hands as well, allowing us to be even more open when the alcohol kicked in.

"Honey, you were always so naive about him," Amanda declared with a huff, making circles with her glass of wine. Her motions were tired and messy, she was clearly drunk.

Because I heard that sentence so many times that night - actually the whole day - I scoffed at her statement with a roll of my eyes. "Fine, if I'm naive you're too serious."

"That's such a shitty argument," she laughed and I giggled. "Nope, we're neither of these things. Shit happens, we make mistakes, Let's embrace it because YOLO."

"I should've recorded that," I whined.

She shrugged and then gave me a devilish look, "Now, will you finally tell me how come a McLaren driver brought you here?"

"I already told you! He wanted to make sure Charles wouldn't kill him!"

Amanda arched one eyebrow, giving me a 'seriously?' look. "He's a F1 World Champion, tell me one reason why he would fear Charles?"

"Fair enough but—"

"Eli, there's not but! I bet you charmed him."

"Yeah that's what a lot of people think right now," I raised my brows and took a sip of my drink. Amanda looked at me with no particular expression.

"Maybe you should take advantage of it," I looked at her in disbelief and then she immediately added, "No, listen! He's hot, he's got opportunities, he's famous...name a thing, he has it."

There was a possibility she was right about him. But this is Lando Norris we were talking about - someone who is the last person I think I'd have something going on with. Even if we would have some similarities - we're still different. And I don't know him to a point where I would be sure about him.

He helped me today, but we're only acquaintances - and that's it.
